Haven't been back there since 2003, my only visit to Lanzarote. Looks like it's changed a fair bit. We stayed in the El Trebol with the kids who are grown up now, married with kids of their own. I'm very tempted to return, possibly next November 2025.
I can't understand people who go on holidays to a different country and eat the same food as they were at home. Whenever I visit Scotland or England, I always ask for local dishes and most importantly for local beers. Thank for another great vlog Roger!.
Hi Roger, great video, we were there at the beginning of September staying at the Grand Tequise Playa. We have been going to Costa Tequise since about 1997 and have done that walk many a time, we normally do it after dinner when it is cooler. Or we walk on the beach around breakfast time when it is quieter. If you want to try scuba diving go to Native Diving which is just in front of the Grand Tequise Playa Hotel. ❤😊
Thanks Roger, for the tour around the resort. Never been to Lanzarote, but my parents said it was their favourite Spanish destination. Looks a great resort, with great bars/restaurants. I'm very jealous! Hope Mrs E had your pint ready for you! For the time of year, still looked warm, a good time to go for some Sun! Nice one! 😊 👍
Hi Roger... I'm quite tempted to go there wish our local councils in Britain could take note of how well kept this place looks..... great video Roger.... Richard in Newcastle upon Tyne 😀
Brilliant video Sir I am hoping to go to Lanzarote at end of November early December. For a first time Visitor to this Beutiful Island so I thank you for showing me and othersnaround Costa Teguise ( where I have been advised to go to to by a friend who goes there a lot keep them Videos coming please.🌞👍👍
Hi Roger, thanks for this walk around Lanzarote. Didn’t know you live in Edinburgh. I want to visit your city one day, not sure when and how I'm getting there but I'm in no hurry. I'm looking to stay in a Premier Inn or a small b&b - where do you recommend?
Hi Cathy. There are a few Premier Inn Hotels dotted around the city. It really depends when you’re thinking of coming. At Festival and Christmas Market time you will find even the Premier Inn’s charging stupid prices. Motel One is similar to Premier Inn and there is one just at the bottom of the Royal Mile - Motel One Edinburgh Royal. For B&Bs you’d. probably be looking further out of the city but the buses/trams/trains are good if you find one near a bus/tram/train route.
We’ve not been to Costa Teguise but have been to both Playa Blanca and PDC. It’s often windy in Lanzarote, does anyone have an opinion as to the most sheltered of the three resorts?
I've been to both Puerrto Del Carmen and Playa Blanca. I like Del Carmen as it's a very short transfer to the airport. Can't beat a bit of sunshine in the Canaries especially at this time of year. I'm off to Barbados in a week . Ought to start a travel channel myself.
The bird looks like a cattle egret to me. Flying out to Teguise tomorrow so I'll pack my zoom lens and do some birding while I'm drinking. Tick off two of my favourite hobbies at the same time. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cattle_egret
@@SteveHudson-o9q around our hotel it was mostly Spanish sparrows and collared doves. I was surprised by just how many cattle egrets we saw - they would often be seen prowling around dry stone walls hunting for insects or whatever else might be hiding in the cracks. The lagoon in Arrecife is a good place to see wading birds when the tide is out - we saw lots of turnstones as well as a couple of little egrets there. Also heard but didn't see parakeets in the trees near the church in Arrecife. Saw a few gulls and also some terns along the coast but apart from a yellow legged gull I didn't get close enough to id the others.

We would definitely go back. Great resort and vibe. Thanks for watching.
Looks like a decent resort as well as the perfect hotel, I wish I could afford to stay there all inclusive! :)
Thanks Steve. I think you'd love the hiking in the volcano trails! 😀

I agree though I guess it might come down to price. A pint of Guiness in Edinburgh is close to £7 as opposed to 3 Euros in that Irish Bar! 🤔😀
Going next Friday…can’t wait…thanks for this👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻💃🏻
Hope you enjoy it! Let us know what you think! 🌞
A quality video :)
Thanks very much! 😀

Thanks Alan. A great time to go. It was very warm but not burning hot so easy to sit out for long periods. 😀

That’s a good question. We never found the wind to be too strong whilst we were in Costa Teguise. 😀

What other birds are you likely to see on the island.
