Hi Aditi. I really enjoy your videos. I was born in India but grew up in the US. I like to sing hindi as well as english songs. I have been practicing swaras for a few years and believe that my voice has gotten better because of it. My question is can practicing sa re ga ma pa... help with singing english songs as well. Or should i practice do re mi fa si la....( solfage) instead to become moe adept at singing english songs. Any advice would be appreciated
Singing and practicing Hindustani music obviously improves voice quality. But there is difference in western and Hindustani music. The music you enjoy and connect yourself too . You can start learning that.
