Ive heard so many stories of the Bell witch!! I have the movie (The American Haunting) based on the Bell Witch!! This is best information i received on the Bell Witch !! 😊
Most of this video was genealogy, and visiting graves and old homesteads. Whether or not you believe the story, it’s still a historic event, and we have journals and home foundations to prove it.

Although i somehow believe that there could be sins and incest involved plus the curse of the Indian burial ground but i could be wrong ! But iheard some say that inbreeding was suspect in Bell's family !
I am distantly related to many of the families involved with this story and grew up in the area. I didn’t believe in the story until I myself had unusual experiences in my truck while traveling down 41. While showing the location to my then gf, my locks started going insane and the radio started changing back and forth on its own with the screen becoming purple and green randomly. I had no previous electric problems with the truck before or after this incident. It scared me half to death.
Sadly once something is established attention and profit seekers come from everywhere to be part of it, and have zero problems with completely making stuff up for said attention and profit.
The church is NOT the original church. The one shown is a newer church. The original became condemned, though I think you can see it elsewhere. And, are they planning on exhuming John Sr, Lucy, John Jr, and others? It would be very difficult to find John Sr, Lucy, Richard Williams Bell and others that are buried in the small family cemetery on the farm, because though there is a newer headstone on the site, it's been said it wasn't placed exactly on the grave. Richard Williams Bell, Drew and some others no longer have a stone at all, and also the slaves are buried in the spot, so it would be hard to know who is who, without DNA tests, IF there's even much left to test after two hundred years. And Betsy is buried in Mississippi, in the cemetery her daughter and her family are laid. Also, I've always believed it was Richard Powell who summoned the spirit to kill John Sr, and to force Betsy to marry him. Just a lot of the information I've read with very tangible hints, including some that many people don't know about, that makes him highly suspect, including him having reportedly been in the (West?) Indies for a time, and having knowledge of occult practice. So much of it ties together, and makes sense to me.
