    Amazing interview with a living legend!!

  • @illuminatusdeus3051
    @illuminatusdeus3051 4 ปีที่แล้ว +41

    I say, don't be the defender, a defender always has something to lose, go on an attack for once. Head to a contested territory and then eat a chunk of new territory. I say, start patrolling in Aksai Chin, occupy some segments of a disputed territory. I say, start patrolling near Kailash Mansarovar (there was a small Indian enclave there, I heard), put them on the defensive for once.

    • @illuminatusdeus3051
      @illuminatusdeus3051 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @Albert Dacosta Yes, but a defender means you are defending a territory, in essence, depending on the terrain, you are restricted in your forward movement. You can only bleed your adversary if you're able to choke him, or if you are able to limit your advantage to 1 attacker vs 3 defenders. I have heard that defenders can multiply their advantage with terrain, but even if they dig trenches, they are still in claimed Indian territory.

      @Albert Dacosta Wrong ! Sure the attacker will loose resources but the defender will gain Nothing even in a hundred years.... that is what is happening with foolish India. When we dont attack we encourage bad behavior of the attackers to try attacking us again and again.

    • @MrReon1806
      @MrReon1806 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Illuminatus Deus but it’s in our culture, history and conviction that India never ever attack or claim another country land. We are getting strong to defend ourselves and protect those who need our help. That’s the moto of India, strongest as It can be to protect our motherland from all outside evil. India never believe in conquering strategy. It has never ever happened in last 5000 years.

    But Chinese are building air defences at an incredible speed, converting temporary to permanent, so this warfare will not be landbased but air powered, please comment

    • @sudipvro
      @sudipvro 4 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      Every Chinese armament & infrastructure from Finger 4 to Finger 8 is directly under India's Bofors guns....China will have to use airpower to silence our Bofors , but surely our army knows it & have placed many manpads equipped soldiers along with anti-aircraft guns and akash SAMs with the Bofors guns....finger4-8 distance is 8 km & Bofors range is 30+ km..... Two options chinis have through air is direct air attack which will be suicidal OR use some million dollars Air-to-ground cruise missiles to destroy few lakh dollars of artillery guns.... either suicidal or Uneconomical option for chinese

    • @sudipvro
      @sudipvro 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @Apoorv Chauhan M777 howitzer hai , radar nhi , and using ballistic missiles to destroy infantry and artillery is something highly uneconomical...

    • @sudipvro
      @sudipvro 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Apoorv Chauhan also S-400 in mountainous terrain would be cannon fodder for brahmos....asked an ex-brigadier in twitter... India has kept 3-4 brahmos ready for each s-400 launcher....

    • @sudipvro
      @sudipvro 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Apoorv Chauhan wohi toh 1billion $ hai ek S-400 regiment , brahmos 2.75 million $ per unit ... Even if India uses 30 brahmos for whole S-400 regiment ( 8 vehicles in total ) it's 80 million $ gone to destroy 1 billion dollars 😂.... the damage to China would be 200 times the cost of those brahmos's .....but had it been flat land , brahmos would have had little chance.....s-400 can't attack with steep mountains in front of it.

    It is heartening to listen to Military leaders and experts.
    However, fighting in a climatewise hostile territory far away from Han Chinese settlements ( North and mostly East) is convenient for the Chinese..the heat and tension doesn't seem to be reaching them, and anyway they have suppressed the death of their soldiers killed in action. There is nothing to win here, only to defend.
    We need action in South China sea for these people to get the full taste of what lies ahead when you cross the line. Maybe not by us but by US.

      @@SumiOccult kindly read about the new dimension of warfare in the electromagnetic spectrum. It is enough to make anything useless and a sitting duck.

    Is it advisable to discuss such issues on air when the adversaries are preparing for an encounter with the defending forces positioned at advantageous hights ??

    All these videos show very vague maps. There are some maps on Wikipedia they provide far more details. One such is here:

    The principle that themountains favour the defender is okay to a limit but if the other has good airpower the equation can change

    Very Nice Nitin Sir. Sanjay sir is great strategist and narrator .But never under estimate china. They have brought tanks and drones. Which can lead to no touch fight first. They will try to pound bombs first then bring soldiers only in last

      India is not Armenia. We have atleast 5 air defense systems like Pechora Russian, Israeli Spyder etc and now Smash-2000 is under procurement for individual soldiers.

    Nitin ji as usual it was an excellent presentation. The country is proud of such valiant soldiers like Gen Kulkarni. i am a layman with deep interest of military issues globally. You did mention though that Indian formations will protect themselves in the heights from storming by the enemy, my worry is China might use precision guided bombs massively, like we did in Kargil, or do heavy artillery and missile attack to soften us. We need to have our lines of supply open. The problem also exists in flat areas in Ladakh.,our supply depots and troops,are exposed for aerial attack. I hope someone will clear my worries.

    A war is havingsomany consequences. Talking for aggressiveness not that much wise. But when situation compell ofcourse India will do what is required at that juncture. Still we have to find this skirmish as anopportunity. To compel China to make clear cut border with India permenantly. Then after chinese cannot indulge in dirty games. Thank you for experiencial information and the viewers comments.

    Isn't it that its China which has come ahead and captured land? So its China that have to defend the captured land. The ball is in India's court and India has to use force to push China back. India doesn't seem to be in condition to do that. So now Chine will just sit, and India will keep asking them to go back. Time will pass.

    A real hero speaking to us . Thank u. But, what is worrying is that China may employ a horde of armed little drones- I heard that they are perfecting this deployment - to take out our brave jawans from the heights for which we may not have adequate defence. To forestall that it is better to go on the offence & push them back even accepting the risk of a hot war.
