As much as I love the crossover, I can't help but feel dst got the short end of the stick, being mostly reskins with addition of 1 boss with an extra difficulty switch and 2 items that become nullified in the late game. The food is nice, but considering how terraria got a new boss, new weapons, new summons, as well as new vanity items and an entire new world setting, gotta say that Klei could have at least added another terraria item with a unique effect that you could bring with you to late game, maybe something for the portal in the atrium or something to bring to the lunar island after killing the celestial champion
Yeaahh. Little bit. I really which the shadow armor and nights bane played more significance in dst rather than just being reskins of existing items. Havibg the Lights bane and turning it into the nights edge/true nights edge with the shadow atrium would have been amazing.

I imagine the eye mask could be quite good for Wurt since she can't eat meat so instead just feed it to the eye mask also unrelated to this milky whites count as dairy so you can get like 5 ice creams every fight
2:44 Actually, you can't continue fights between nights in Terraria. You have to start it all over every time and it's a pain if you're weapon isn't good enough. Continuing boss fights is only a thing with deerclops and occasionally queen bee.
Would be cooler if the twins actually had unique attacks like they do in terraria, spazmatism should do an AOE attack of cursed flames and retinazer could fire a flurry of lasers in 1 direction, both attacks would have indicators of course.

Before i knew of the update i found the terrarium. Problem is, i didnt know what it was so i put it in my base and activated it, i thought it was a pretty light. damn near shit myself when it summoned the eye of cthulu
The rate at which the eye mask is repaired is actually made up of the hunger value of the item x1.75 + the health value of the item x4. So don't go shoving meatballs into the thing unless you have way too much food. Just feed it glommer goop and it'll be instantly repaired every single time. You also don't need a speed boost to dodge the single eye of terror, though it helps of course :D And for my fellow Wes players out there the eye is actually mega easy to dodge with the speed balloon 👌
It's really funny how you have to put each enemy and item like five times in the thumbnail to fill the screen because of how little content this update actually had.
Looking cool seeing the eye of terror and other features in don't starve together, i wonder what on terraria is like with don't starve features? I say very pixel and awesome. Also the eye mask look awesome.
My fight or flight reflect went crazy when I opened the game for the first time ‘cause I was tabbed out watching other stuff, it literally made me jump and change back to the game
For me, as someone whose picked up Don't Starve from the Terraria crossover, I feel bad for DST players. They didn't get substantial enough content. EoT was good, but the Twins sucked. They weren't an accurate portrayel of the Twins in Terraria. They were just two buffed up EoT with nothing else. Also, content wise it sucked. If I am right, players only got two functional items that aren't soley skins. The eye mask and the shield. I forget what either do but that's kinda sad. In comparison to Terraria, we got multiple weapons, pets, vanity outfits, a boss, a seed, and Wilson's magnificent beard. Without including paid skins, DST recieved five technically six things.
You are 110% correct in this thinking. I returned to Terraria following this crossover and even released some Let's Plays on the new Terraria content and within a few parts Terraria delivered 10-fold what DST did with the event.

I've never played terraria. I've heard about this update but didn't really look at it. Yesterday I decided to start a new game after months of not playing. Boy was I shocked when I touched that terrarium the first time xD
really hope klei does justice andd add winter festival version like deerclops, but that would mean it would be something like handeling dragonfly and deerclops at once, so. who knows- definitely a missed opportunity to not include the flamethrower and the death laser. but /shrug

DST has a lot of content, yes. Heck, even the solo DS games do and might have even more than DST! The Terraria Crossover does not however, not even close. Terraria got WAY more from it.

You said that in Terraria you can fight the boss the next night. This isn't true as in Terraria the boss will leave at day and you will have to re-summon it with full hp and fight it again
is this update permanent? like forever? so its not like a timed thing that expires or a seasonal thing? u can always find and fight tohse bosses forever now?
you cant continue a fight the next night in terraria, you have to do it all over again. but nights go like 9,5 minutes so.

DST also got a new world prefab for both over world and caves
if the new prefab made dst more like terraria that would be cool. I'd even accept a pixelated look of the world

The new weapons in terraria are technically also sorta nullified in the near end game / end game cause by then, you’d have better equipment.

wdym we didn't get much, we got a ton, this is not a full feature update like 1.4 and 1.3, it's a smaller update but we still got a lot of stuff
We got a new seed which is essentially a completely new gamemode with hunger and darkness being able to kill you in that seed

I wish the twins were more like they were in terraria. If you killed one the other got a lot more difficult and added a new attack.
I mean, apart from the extra attacks thing the second one does technically get harder.
2 months later, but the Twins don't gain an extra attack nor get more difficult if you killed the other one in terraria.

The eyes will wreak any amount of followers you bring into their fight. Their charge attacks deal 250 damage each.
