the reason why the album can be read as blond or as blonde is because the entire album represents duality. Feminism vs Masculinity, Summer vs Winter, Youth vs Adulthood. The album is split perfectly in two to further represent this duality, but even though each piece of this opposition contrasts, the album is meant to be an infinite loop that connects these perceptions.
I'm in shock Flea feels the same as I do towards Channel Orange, when I heard what his says I swear that my jaw dropped to my feet and I had to replay to see if my eyes weren't fooling me.
Trent Westover i feel like it's designed to make the media's documentation and promotion of his work obsolete. he put it down as blonde in the credits so any legit reference to it has to be blonde.
listening flea talk about him just makes my heart happy, i look up to flea soooo much as a person and as an artist, same with frank and hearing and artist talking about another artist that i love is awesome
definitely had the Pyramids vibe from CO, also that third section on Nights is BEYYOONNDDD fucking magical, the beat switch up, the beat itself, the voice, everything feels like a complete dream... And so does the rest of the album, masterpiece imo
yo endless and blond are crazie listen to endless first though so you get the whole story leaving Nola for houston leaving houston for LA where he ultimately had the relationship assumed as the focal point of both albums and the ending it all with one line "this is not my life. its just a fond farewell to a friend" genius
no it was pretty awesome, i liked the album a lot without the shrooms but it sent me on a feel trip thinking about a lot of memories with frank ocean as my guide
The second guy was a bit antagonistic, on one hand he wanted to compliment Frank and on the other hand he was kind of dissing him. Not a very clean compliment, a lot of "buts" in there.
I loved Chanel Orange. Like honestly one of my favourite albums of all times. Am I honestly the only one who thought blond wasn't good at all. Like I really tried to like it, but it's just not good??
Oh no I absolutely loved Blonde and wasn't too fond of Channel Orange to be honest. Like I can't stop listening to blondes. I think it's because it's very different from Channel Orange in that it's much minimalistic. And most listeners of Rap and R&B aren't patient listeners. They need a fast beat with bass or great vocal jams. Blonde doesn't really provide that but it's still great!
I can't get over the fact that flea listens to frank ocean
Instant Crush
Real recognizes Real!
Instant Crush sameee omg
Flea is a musical scholar. I remember when he said he was a HUGE fan of J Dilla.
Cool moment
Dude wtf are u doing here
Isn't that Henry Rollins

Pretentious.

You know Frank Ocean is a godsend when the iconic Flea loves him
people dont give "endless" enough credit
jay endless is fucking great
It's just not very accessible. He really needs to put it on Spotify or something with the tracks individually. Some of his best songs are on there
comme de garcon
beacuse people dont know about it
That sucks that it's a deep cut because I love it as much as Blonde.
I think it's the step between the 2 albums.
Now only if it was on Spotify
I'm in shock Flea feels the same as I do towards Channel Orange, when I heard what his says I swear that my jaw dropped to my feet and I had to replay to see if my eyes weren't fooling me.
u listen with ur eyes??
"Blond" shows his struggles feminine side while "blonde" shows his struggles with his masculine side.
Trent Westover i feel like it's designed to make the media's documentation and promotion of his work obsolete. he put it down as blonde in the credits so any legit reference to it has to be blonde.
Trent Westover furthermore, stylistically it's more masculine, sleek, fast. like his brand of racecar swag.
its the feminine and masculine spellings of the word
listening flea talk about him just makes my heart happy, i look up to flea soooo much as a person and as an artist, same with frank and hearing and artist talking about another artist that i love is awesome

Nights, Self Control, White Ferrari, Seigfried, Godspeed....
definitely had the Pyramids vibe from CO, also that third section on Nights is BEYYOONNDDD fucking magical, the beat switch up, the beat itself, the voice, everything feels like a complete dream... And so does the rest of the album, masterpiece imo
Agree
TheMrBig8 That's my fave song on the album. It reminds me of Pyramids. It's like Pyramid's Pt 2
