Hey mate, for a vocalist wanting to invest in a PA speaker type with mixer to sing House Music through using a wireless mic, would you recommend any of these ?. I have been recommended the Studio Master 121 direct array column here in the UK by my local store, for my needs. Any comparison on specs? Or suggestions? Obviously the Columns are ideal for upper sound traveling but I am curious about these .
thanks for that! a lot of people online say the 945 or nx45 with the 4" voice coil sounds the best of all, especially for vocals. you didn't seem to find that i guess?
We truly did like them all, but we would always prefer a 12" top over a 15" and that's just us. Sound is not objective, plus it's all about using the right tool for the job. The 945 uses brute force, it's deafening for sure but it also has an impressive digital filter to make it sound as clean as a 15" speaker can sound. We would use it for sound reinforcement only or by themselves at a school event on a field or for outdoor PA needs or something like that. If we were building a private events system we'd go with 932 over subs, either the ART or NX.
Great video brother. I have the Art910a they sound great no distortion. One comment i think you said you have them on linear mode as far as i know linear is to use with subs, try it on boost mode the bass sounds harder its a different sound.
I own the 945, and I used to have the Pioneer XPRS 15 as well. Poor Pioneer, it was truly outclassed by the 945. The sound quality is twice as good as the Pioneer.
Well to be fair. They’re just starting out w speakers and also far less expensive. Wouldn’t have expected them to be close but yes the 945s are freaking awesome!!! ❤️❤️❤️
Saw a busker using an RCF 10# - didn't get the model number - powered with an Ecoflow River 2 battery, sounded great. I know as a DJ you're probably listening to speakers based on music quality. Since I'm a singer using backing tracks, I'm wondering if you've ever assessed speakers based on the quality of sound for vocals, which might be subtly different than that of music? Do you have any recommendations for and 8 or 10" speaker, powered or battery powered, that is preferred by vocalists for clarity and tone of their singing?
Would a compromise between taking the least amount of gear to a gig but also getting the most/best low end be a pair of 915a's? I don't have the budget or van space for subs.
Great video as a solo singer who does mainly small - medium rooms I think I'm going for 2 932's - worked thru some RCF art 712-A yesterday and they were great but fancy the newer better 932's will let you know how I get on
I work in 2 bands as a bassist and I roll all the production. I currently have a JBL VRX array setup, but it's a lot to move for smaller gigs. I also do some scaled down 2 pc where I use a pair of 1x12 Headrush FRFR speakers for FOH (not very loud gigs). My needs are somewhat similar to what some DJ's have said, which is I want to be able to have a setup with just 2 speakers that can do a decent job without a sub as this is becoming more and more the case. Generally these are 2-3pc gigs, no amps (all direct), sometimes dampened acoustic drums. With a set of JBL PRX815s that I tried, its almost enough, but not quite. So I'm wondering compared to that speaker, would the 932 with boost on be enough to push a little more low end over the JBL? It this point, I am really torn between the 932 and 945. That being said, in this economy, I'd prefer to save a few dollars if possible. What's your opinion?
All our gear is RCF. I watched a Brian S Redd video quite some time ago where he was complementing the quality of sound from his Art 312's so I purchased a pair for my younger brother. Since then my son has become interested in DJ'n so I purchased him 2 set's of Evox speakers the 5's and the 8's. These speakers have performed perfectly for the smaller gigs that we were doing. As my son became better we reinvested his money into new speakers as now he was performing at HS dances, so we needed separate subs. We picked up the 915's, 910's and 2 Sub 705's. I'd like to say that even the entry level 915's rocked HS dances alone with no sub. Great sounding speaker. We've used just the 910'2 and one sub for block parties here in San Francisco again they worked great for what we needed. Next month he has a homecoming dance that we plan on using both subs for the first time with the 915's. I've yet to even test run them. I expect them to rock. We've been extremely happy with both the Evox and the ART series line up. I did have one issue though. At a HS club day I had the Evox 5's for background sound in a smallish courtyard and an amp went out. That is currently getting repaired. The output of the single Evox 5 was sufficient for what was needed. Great products.
Bro since you own them I’d be very curious to know one thing: Let’s say I run the art 915 on one side and the art 910 on the other. The art 915 plays full range, meanwhile the art 910 plays with an highpass filter. I turn both of them up to limit. Of course the bass is going to be stronger on the 915. But in this specific configuration, which speaker is going to be the loudest mids and highs at max?
@@user-UnMagico So basically An art 910 with highpass filter (no bass) will sound as loud as an art 915 full range? I was hoping that it could go much louder, since the bass uses a lot of energy, so when you get rid of them it should have a lot more headroom and power. Hope to find some more information about that
They also just came out with the NX 932 speakers. That will be interesting to see. Having wood cabinets makes it heavier but interested in seeing some reviews on them. RCF also upgraded their subs.
Your reviews are incredible! Quick question..looking to upgrade our current QSC K.2 w/18" sub. We have a vocal quartet with full band. Bass singer is JD Sumner level. All singers powerhouse. Average venue churches 300 - 800 people. We want the BEST vocal quality speaker, the LIGHTEST for best quality and price is no object. We are looking for speakers that will produce absolute best vocal quality possible, support a bass singer that can go off piano, cover average audience of 400-500 inside and the lightest possible with no road crew. Thinking about RCF 932 W/8003 SUB? Is there anything better to fit the above parameters I should look at or would that fit the bill? Fidelity/sound quality #1 priority and light as possible on weight #2 priority. Thanks.
I have the Mackie thumps 215xt and the 15” sub woofer, which was in my budget for my DJ business, but I’m noticing clipping and I’m still new to adjusting sound for my DJ gigs. I’ve been wanting to move towards the qsc 12” and the 12” sub for a somewhat smaller but still pack enough power for small to medium events. A friend of mine told me about the RCF’s and I’m soooo interested in them that I find myself wanting them and searching for information on them and want to know what I should be looking for in a speaker such as watts, spl, voice coils, rms etc. Plus you mentioned the AX series, I guess I’ll start browsing your videos and website.
I use a set of the Art 910’s over the RCF 705A 15” SUB and it’s way more then enough for smaller events. You might want to rent out a set before your decision. If you’re looking for a smaller setup for ease of transport look into the RCF EVOX J8’s I have the older model RCF Evox 8 and they are awesome. For small indoor events I’m talking 50 or less I use the smaller Evox 5 it has a 10” sub but indoors these little guys punch above their weight.
The difference between A and AX series is just that AX has all that DSP junk integrated that you don't need if you have even a basic mixer. Absolutely go with 932-A with a bigger compression driver, rather than the 912-AX.
On the 945 the word what came out as if it were right beside you or like someone close to the camera. Didn't sound like it was coming from so many feet away.
Hey, love your video. I have an interesting/different question...I'm looking to pick up speakers and a mic set for a elementary school. I've been around a lot of DJ's (as a wedding videographer) over the last 15+ years. Got to know quite a bit about sound...so when I noticed my kids school had a very poor sound system and I heard they were gonna upgrade, I spoke up and now I'm sorta in charge of getting them a great set of speakers and a couple wireless mics (with good range and solid battery life). They'd have a loose budget of around $5k. Well, they were originally saying $10k but when I spoke up and said, "you don't need to spend that much to get great sound" they went "you're hired!" (sorta). Anyway, they want portable, so they had purchased a single Bigfoot 2 speaker system. But it just wasn't doing it and they really needed two speakers to cover their outdoor events that this is being used for. A few hundred kids/parents (always) outdoors during various holidays. So I figured a couple RCF speakers, a cart (or some way to make it easy on them to roll out and roll back into the office after each event...thoughts?) and then a couple good wireless mics (shure?) that sound good, etc etc. I'd get them a simple mixer too, but there's no real "sound person" there so I was trying to keep it simple with less cables and cords for them to get by. So maybe a couple of 915AX speakers? Your 912AX wasn't as "rich" as the 932 in your review so maybe the 915AX would make up for that?? Or I could do one of those AX models and another ART932/945 or two 932's or even two 945's? Simplicity helps elementary teachers which is why the BT option might help. As for mics, they really just run 1-2 mics and some music from their phones for most of their events but dependability and quality is key so I'd rather spend more if it'll help them. Also it's not my money. Lol. So keep it simple & portable for this application...and you got $5k (or maybe a little more if necessary) to spend...what would you do?
Not sure if you’ve purchased speakers yet. I can speak from experience that a pair of the ART 915’s is more then enough . I have used these speakers for High school assemblies on the football field. The ART series 910/912/915 all have the same amp and tweeter. If you went with a set of the 910’s ($1500) they would be the most portable and manageable. If you wanted more low end you could add a sub for about +$1300. RCF SUB 705as mk3. You could add Xvive U3 dual Bluetooth transmitter/receiver for $400’s. This will save about 4-500. If the teachers used their phones for music there always the chance that a call/Alerts might come through. RCF F10 XR is a good option for a mixer a used one can be picked up for $260.00 from pro audio star. They could connect a computer to the mixer. A set of Ultimate Support TS 100B air assisted speaker stands. $300. Mics: Shude BLX288 dual mic setup. $600. Pig hog XLR cables have a great warranty. These can be purchased on Amazon. At this point we’re at about 4500. before taxes. Since this setup is going to be for outside assemblies you might want to consider a portable battery/ inverter. Check out ECOFLOW Delta Pro a refurbished one can be purchased from ECOFLOW with a manufacturer’s warranty on Ebay for about $2000. This battery has 3600 Wh. I’ve used two batteries/ inverters totaling to 2500 Wh and powered a set of 910’s and a 15” sub for over 6 hours at a block party and still had about 20% of power still available. The battery can be used for other applications. (Blackouts) All of this can fit on a rock n roller stealth r12 cart. ($300) Ebay. All this gear is about $6800 beore taxes. Good luck let us know what you decide to do. I hope this helps. I almost forgot covers for the speakers $200 the great thing about these covers is that they stay on the speakers all the time they have flaps where the stands go. Now we’re at $7000.
@@user-UnMagico Thank you for the reply!! Really appreciate it. I ended up getting them 2 RCF ART 915AX speakers as their main speakers and then 2 RCF ART 932-a speakers as two additional speakers for their bigger events that need 4 speakers. I also go them the Shure SLXD24D/SM58 dual mic setup and a small mixer for the bigger events when they'll need it and a bunch of cables and a couple rolling carts to easily move stuff around. B&H gave some nice educational discounts which saved more than $1000 easy. Oh, I also got them a Jackery 2000 plus because I knew it'll come in handy when they don't wanna run extension cables all over the place. I love spending other people's money. Kept it all under $10k. We just ran it the other day out on the fields and it sounded awesome. A LOT more bass than I expected. I mean, outdoors is always tough but this was pretty damn impressive how far I could push it so I was happy. I just played Taylor Swift and the kids thought I was the best DJ on the west coast. ;)

If we were building a private events system we'd go with 932 over subs, either the ART or NX.
what is your impression of the nx32 or nx932 vs ART 932 @@TheDJsGuru
Did you heard the art745 before ? If yes, wich one has more bass response in flat mode ,745 or 945 ? Thanks
945 > 745
It would be interesting to include the exox j8 or maui 28 g3.
I think the 912 is way louder than the column speakers... Less bass but better spl
Perhaps- thanks for your comment :-)
Great video brother. I have the Art910a they sound great no distortion. One comment i think you said you have them on linear mode as far as i know linear is to use with subs, try it on boost mode the bass sounds harder its a different sound.
Ty for the feedback! We wanted to keep it flat on purpose for the demo but love that mode too!
I bought the art932’s to replace a set of qsc k12.2’s. The RCFs are simply amazing! They are the best speakers I’ve had. The sound is so pure!
❤️❤️
What do you recommend for a subwoofer for the rt 912a or the 932 speaker?
If 1 sub or less watts and have 2 subs?
2 935A or 2 j8’s 🤔
What would be the best option for outdoor events 200 people? Any ideas?
Is there a 3rd option? Can we maybe do a pair of 910s or 912 and SUB705 or SUB708 combo?

can you hear an audible hiss from the 932 when turned up past 75%?? mine does and i want to see if its just the nature of the speaker
Any plastic box will usually have a hiss at some point with this kind of SPL, totally normal. One disadvantage of molded plastic vs wood
Any chance you guys will be doing an art 932 vs NX 932 comparison?
Yes.
Excellent! Looking forward to that. Thanks 👍🏼
Great vid! What do you think about the AX version? Is it worth it?
Yes - we would buy 1 reg and 1 AX if we were buying a pair of 910-12-15
Hallo!
Rcf hd 32 or 932?
Thx
i have the 945 and rcf 8003 subs, just got the art 932’s. really happy with everything. looking to get the new 15ax sub
Great stuff. We can help on your next purchase at DJSupplyStore.com - tell them The DJs Guru sent you :-)
Wondering if you can do a TT series comparison against the 9 Series?
Saw a busker using an RCF 10# - didn't get the model number - powered with an Ecoflow River 2 battery, sounded great. I know as a DJ you're probably listening to speakers based on music quality. Since I'm a singer using backing tracks, I'm wondering if you've ever assessed speakers based on the quality of sound for vocals, which might be subtly different than that of music? Do you have any recommendations for and 8 or 10" speaker, powered or battery powered, that is preferred by vocalists for clarity and tone of their singing?
RCF ART 910-A or HD 10-A. There's also TT 10-A if you have deep pockets - I have these myself and they are phenomenal.
RCF NX 915-SMA
What do you think about this one…. is it good for front of House?
Yes for sure
Would a compromise between taking the least amount of gear to a gig but also getting the most/best low end be a pair of 915a's? I don't have the budget or van space for subs.
910 A, are very good or?
Great video as a solo singer who does mainly small - medium rooms I think I'm going for 2 932's - worked thru some RCF art 712-A yesterday and they were great but fancy the newer better 932's will let you know how I get on
Leaving my comment here so I can come back and read your response on them
Would two pairs of the 732s over subs do a 300 to 500 seat outdoor venue for rock bands?
Depends but definitely possible. Give us a call or text at 888-378-1744 and we can help you with advice and a great deal at djsupplystore.com
My opinion is that 932 has tight and punchy bass, goes low and does not muddy of the mids like a 15 will.
So what speaker did you ended up buying?
Brian is a great guy, we love him :-) Thanks for your comments and for sharing your story!
Bro since you own them I’d be very curious to know one thing:
Let’s say I run the art 915 on one side and the art 910 on the other.
The art 915 plays full range, meanwhile the art 910 plays with an highpass filter.
I turn both of them up to limit.
Of course the bass is going to be stronger on the 915.
But in this specific configuration, which speaker is going to be the loudest mids and highs at max?
@@LezGõr I’ve never ran them together but my guess is they would sound similar except for the bass, as they have the same amplifier and tweeter.
@@user-UnMagico So basically An art 910 with highpass filter (no bass) will sound as loud as an art 915 full range?
I was hoping that it could go much louder, since the bass uses a lot of energy, so when you get rid of them it should have a lot more headroom and power.
Hope to find some more information about that
Great honest review
Ty glad you found it helpful :-)
My big doubt is between the rcf 932 and the rcf Hd32a. They look very similar in terms of characteristics, and the sound?
We did a video on that th-cam.com/video/zkMs0ikDxX8/w-d-xo.htmlsi=d7iw0ez2g__WYiyk
They also just came out with the NX 932 speakers. That will be interesting to see. Having wood cabinets makes it heavier but interested in seeing some reviews on them. RCF also upgraded their subs.
Try the Martin’s Blackline 15” , it would be a diferent world ..
Martin makes phenomenal product agreed
We would love to help - reach out at www.DJsupplystore.com or call/text 18883781744
@@DestroyerOfLiberals I would have to look into them and try to find a spot to hear them.
On the 945 the word what came out as if it were right beside you or like someone close to the camera. Didn't sound like it was coming from so many feet away.
Ok
How can you test speakers without vocal songs
You just watched the video - that’s how :-)
Hey, love your video.
I just played Taylor Swift and the kids thought I was the best DJ on the west coast. ;)

Nice video but having a mic or cell phone mic in a stationary location will be easier to compare the sound. moving mic or cell phone change the signal inputs
Agreed. We do the best we can w what we have :-)
Yes, good review but there were times when you were holding your camera (phone?) at 45 degrees to the speakers, so my left ear was getting far more signal than my right.
