I'm always surprised to hear that reactors have not heard of Sissel. She has been doing this for over 3 decades. She is one of the worlds best (if not best) crossover soprano singer. In the North, everyone knows who this woman who always sings with a smile, with her crystal clear voice, is. No one outside Scandinavia can pronounce Kyrkjebø so she is therefore known as SISSEL.

Sissel has a feast of good singing on TH-cam as well as having her own channel. She is the only singer I've come across who has turned down a singing contract of multi-millions to preserve herself and her principles and so is not as famous as some lesser talents.
Sissel had the amazing background voice in the oricinal Titanic song. Try out her singing in a song kalled "The Old Castle" held in Sweden 2006. Super reaction Suzzy 🙂

Carrier of a Secret, is one of Sissel's less appreciated songs which she covered in concerts in her middle career, and recorded on her album, All Good Things. TH-cam has a video of her performing it live, and apart from not being a bad song, the visual of her extending her arms each time she sings a fermata note on the word FLY, her arms seem to get longer. In the last frames of that video she stands like The Redeemer statue that overlooks Rio, a virtual work of art.

It sounds classic when she sings it. Shenandoah is a Canadian/American folk song from the early 1800s. There are so many lyrics for the basic theme that no single version of the song is wrong.
