Fascinating. I support salespeople where we sell legal services to law firms and corps for litigation. There is a constant battle with salespeople wanting pricing calculators and us telling them to engage us. Our close rate when they loop us in is close to 100%. When they don’t, not only do we risk losing the deal, but even if we win, their own calculations cause us to lose money. Love your work. I’m in Dallas but from Columbus. 😊
These bts videos are great. I could watch these all day. The car business is really damn interesting. Love all the number crunching. Please post more of these
I own an AMG GT and bought a Merc for my mom from MBNO last year. Thank god we had a bright, attentive and fact gathering professional young man that sold us the car. If this woman was my sales associate the deal would have imploded. I have such low tolerance for this kind of apathetic, lack luster acumen and borderline whiny disposition. I am sure she is a smoke show, but discriminating buyers see past that and prefer competent professionals when shelling out this kind of cash. Love the vids Doug. This one was hard to get through. Yikes!
As a sales director I would never go to my EVP without having all my ducks in a row. I have 12 sales leaders on my roster and I know when they come to me they have exhausted all their resources.
She's giving me a migraine. I know more about MB deals after watching your videos for a week than she does. Maybe they should be required to watch for the sales department. Lol
@@BenzsandBowTies probably because they have bosses like you. knowledgeable fair professional. I would have given my right arm to have leadership like you in my experience
Honestly, the client was not clear at all about what he was trying to accomplish so she was fighting up hill the entire way. She’s better than the credit she’s being given in the comment section.
Adults transacting nearly a quarter mil for a car and can’t communicate math concepts at a 4th grade level. 🤦♂️ Negotiate the new car price, then negotiate the trade-in value (or do it in the reverse order), then negotiate the “last mile” to close the deal by adjusting the difference on either end. You’re a car dealer ffs, haven’t you done this before, like all day long, multiple times per day for however long you’ve done this job?
Not sure I could sleep having this lady giving out quotes to the customers of my business without supervision…..😮

Good point , need some kind of control .
Getting the sense Doug is getting annoyed.😂
If you close your eyes, Doug sounds like Brian from Family Guy working as an MB sales manager.
It bothers me that the gal doesn't know the payoff on the trade in or at least where it is financed and the account number.
What happened with this deal? What is this American Express deal I hear you talk about?
Must be annoying for salespeople to come in lacking the info.
In fairness, this one was a bit weird and the client wasn’t being clear in what they were asking for
Do you have pretty good salespeople retention? Seems like automobile salespeople (some) jump from dealership to dealership. Love the content.
We do have excellent retention and pride ourselves on that.

Wow she's irritating. His face at 6:41 says everything.
😂
its hard to teach people how to actually think (especially "creatively")
Comments on this video are brutal, feel bad for this poor lady.

You are so handsome Doug.
You can tell he's trustworthy by the bowtie.
You may be joking, but I’ll take the compliment!
It’s Doug! Happy NEw years Doug! Landed In Las Vegas! The Sphere he I come! lol
Enjoy! Happy New Year!
Manager trying to psych up his rep to sell a car at MSRP !!! as well as all of the sudden MRR is not correct. What a clown
He kinda looks like a Who from Whoville 😂
benz and bows u always sound very annoyed 😂
lol, c’mon! To be fair, people generally don’t like to watch the deals that are totally smooth sailing… not very entertaining!
Hey!
You know what I mean?
Pricing tool, how about basic math.
She's probably really good looking
Or has a good joke book
My thought exactly. She is annoyed with the whole process.
She seems like a rookie. Kind of all over the place

Lacks personality.
Is this a real sales person? She not trained correctly? Torture listening to this video.
