Dont use mulching blades for cutting tall thick grass. The problem is the mulching blades do not create enough vacuum. under the mower deck to push out the grass clipping s fast enough. interns clogs it up you have to use high lift blades you'll notice a huge difference the motor will not have to work as hard.
If there is a little bracket bolted on right inside the back of the chute, take it off. I watched something about my ferris 700 series and it said to remove bracket if your not bagging. It keeps grass from building up at the back edge of the chute. I been happy with the removal. I would also lift the chute cover as well, let the grass blow free.
Trim or replace your deck chute cover. I cut the edges of my fields 3.5" and the rest I raise the deck all the way up, about 4.5 to 5". With an open chute it really eats. Good luck 👍
To help prevent clogging, run your mower so side discharge is throwing to the outside so you don't have to run over your clippings. Note how when she clogged it, the clippings were part of the problem (plus cutting too low as you mentioned).
I bet Deb is liking that canopy down there in the sun you guys get. I have never seen a canopy on a zero turn before. Great idea. Holy cow Brad and Deb! Your channel is growing like crazy! It seems like I just saw that you guys were at 5000 subscribers just a short while ago! Way to go guys! Very excited for you.
Yep, Kubota's are awesome but when it comes to power they're weak. Had a Grasshopper 721D with the 3 cylinder Kubota diesel, probably same one you have, and I couldn't mow very thick or deep grass. It would bog bad. My bad boy elite 60 just eats it up though. Especially my Cat AOSD Bad Boy. 🥰 Kawasaki though
@@PineyGroveHomestead how does your 1211 handle bahia grass? I currently own a Z725 and it doesn't cut the bahia in my yard worth a darn. We're entertaining the 1211 or the Z781
@@Michael-ft3rc All our grass is bahia. It will leave the stems if it gets too tall, you go too fast, or you don't keep your blades sharp. We have the ZD1011. You need the 1211 to swing the 72" deck.
pushing two rows of cut grass....at that height, out of that deck....with that mower...... I believe you're short, about 10 HORSES... : ) But, merely an observation..... please be careful.

Man, you guys are building such a beautiful property! That ZT is a huge piece of the puzzle. Deb did a great job! 👍👊
Thanks Lucas. Just about the time it starts looking good....time to mow again! 👊

Thanks. We are using the Kubota blades made for the ACS deck.

We see a lot of zero turns with the chute cover removed....we might do that. Thanks for watching!
@@PineyGroveHomestead See about the bracket on the inside of the deck is removable as well. If you need a pic, let me know and I will show you.

Thanks for the advice. We haven't used it much so we are still learning the best way to mow with it!

100 % agree! She is better now!

Deb said if I want her to mow, she has to have a canopy! Thanks for watching, Gary!
good job Deb. My wife loves to mow too.
It can be fun if you don't HAVE to do it! Thanks for watching.
How long does it take to mow the 20 acres? Have you switched to a tractor and brush hog or do you stay with the ride-on mower for the whole property?
We do most of the mowing with a zero turn. We have many zero turn videos in this playlist: th-cam.com/play/PLG5yS75HLzo3mW_5QedPxJTQxiJ5qGcb-.html
I love your mower Deb.
I do too! I want to use it more! Thanks for watching me mow!
Yall need a chute blocker for getting close to your driveway
agree!

It could use a little more power, but it's still a nice machine.
My ZD1211 has never bogged down. I mow over 6 acres.
1211 has more horsepower. And bahia grass is tough!

You're not wrong! Sometimes we get behind in mowing!
