my dad ran the comrades yesterday as well, unfortunately he had to drop out at 20km to go because his sugar was too low and they had trouble getting it up
The Comrades is an amazing adventure. Sad that your dad had to retire from the race, but your health is more important than a medal. Hope he recovers fully and ready to join Comrades 2025!
@@andremaakal6069 he says he won't try again next year (this year would have been his 5 comrades and he was aiming for Bill Rowan medal) but chances are very high that in a few days he'll decide he wants to try again next year, chances are even higher if he scores a job with less hours
I was there. Best day of my life!! Proof that if you can, you can!!!
Indeed one of the most exciting, amazing, and memorable days. Hope you are going to be back for Comrades 2025!

Thank you, this is a sacred moment on sacred ground. Many dreams, hopes and the courage to face the impossible come together here.
Yes, very special moment! I wish more people can come and experience the Comrades Marathon.
Wow, yes. That is well said. That it is.
It's not sacred. Sacred is holy. It's just special
For me, this moment is the main highlight of The Ultimate Human Race.
Agree! The CMA made it very special this year with good sound quality, the laser lights, and much more organized seeding pen entries/control.
Amazing

@@jouGOETE it's fine but on a crazier note, some of those runners are clearly from other planets especially Gerda Stein
