Nice one. Always great to see the North Coast. In the 60's Paul Bunyon used to talk to people. There was a hidden booth at the gift shop building where a person could see people over by Paul's feet and a speaker hidden in his leg. A friend of mine who lived in Klamath was the voice of Paul during his high school years. Thanks for showing this.

I read Paul Bunyan as a youngster in North Dakota in the 50's but that's all about what I remember now!---I was 50 when I fell in love with Nelson Eddy, embarrassing to think I'd have been a member of his fan club while he was alive. I bought his biography, that's as close as I'd come (besides ordering a few CDs & movies!) To be fair, I also bought Jeannette McDonalds biography too.

I understand, I often dream of my two children being little. Now they are both (almost) grown up and they never contact me again. I have been through an awful divorce in 2018 and then they where so mad at their father who caused all this to happen. But he is a very dominant person so this is how it finally ended. Lucky I still have my mother, sister and brother.

Loved this! Loved Sarah's adventure on the tram.....wish I had been there....those great trees have always been something I wanted to see......so thanks......I had a book when I was a kid that included Paul Bunyan,,,,,I remember enjoying that book a lot and can remember the chair I would sit in to read it; But, can't remember the details....so, I might just get another book and read it again.....thanks, ya'll......can't wait for the next adventure .Oh, and the scene of the ocean with those big rocks? My cousin and his wife had one of their wedding pictures there: standing in the water, barefoot as close to the big rock as possible and she wore this beautiful, wispy wedding gown, with flowers in her hair......beautiful, made me think of Cathy and Heathcliff......

I was Born in Oregon but my Dad moved us 3 kids to San Diego County when i was 6 months old. So you can Imagine how many Times we took our Vacations in that Direction. My Dad took us to the Trees of Mystery just as i Tiok my Children. We Always Enjoyed Stopping to Picnic & Take a Rest. Paul Bunyan & His Big Blue Ox were Always a Favorite. When i was a kid in the early 60's some one was up inside of Paul. He would Talk to you...i think he also waved if i remember correctly...He would say things Like Hay You.. yeah you in those Turquoise shorts. haha

Wow, thx for this! Great job, I loved it. In the 60s, on our way from Eureka to visit relatives in Oregon, our Dad always stopped there so we could see and touch Paul Bunyan and Babe. That’s all there was there then, plus a gift shop and maybe a coffee shop. If we were lucky, a man hidden away would address us on a loudspeaker with a personalized greeting such as “little girl in the pink dress, are you having fun?” Very thrilling! 😂

I grew up and lived in Humboldt County CA for years. I have post cards from 1947 that my grandparents bought as souvenirs on their honeymoon. I took my wife and kids there about 15 or so years ago. Planning on taking grandkids there next summer when we go visit family.

Well that was different, but as always very good. Well done Jeff & Sarah. I must admit, I did laugh when the cable car stopped to a crawl going up. But Sarah, you have no control when flying either! 🙂 Great work guys, thank you.
