Love this breed. I’ve owned several working dogs, different bulldog breeds, etc. This is the best all around I have ever owned. Highly intelligent, athletic, size for whatever you want them to be but also gentle giants. Great with small kids, other dogs and cats, chickens, etc. My wife’s small Yorkie is the alpha and it’s too funny to see an 80lb dog be herded around by the little guy. 😂

I also have a large pit that is 11 1/2 years old and still around 60-70lbs after losing most of his bulk in old age, and they all play well and get along. I will say, they can be a bit much for smaller dogs very early on. They are just very high energy dogs, and are big for their age as pups. But with just a little training, meaning hold them back a little, tell them no when they get too spunky, or even a good time out sometimes if they aren’t listening… they learn that they are bigger and stronger pretty quick and develop that touch they need for smaller animals and children alike in a short time. I have an Olde English Bulldogge and she is wonderful. She has the sweetest personality, is very outgoing, she loves children, other dogs and pretty much every one we meet. One thing they did not mention here is that they are total goofballs.
My Roxie is a solid 78 lbs and some what aggressive. I have never struck her but it took years of patience and hardwork to get her where she finally felt safe. It’s a strange breed but now she lays her head next to mine on a shared pillow. Great breed but might not be for a first time dog parent 🙏🇺🇸
In March, I got lucky and adopted an Olde English needing to be rehomed. My sweet girl, Quinnie, is a beast(good kind to me) and is a superior guard dog. My cat keeps her distance outside but stands her ground inside, especially in doorways. Quinnie is so gentle w my young nieces, 2, 4, 6yo's. I'm still slowly socializing w other dogs because that was the issue of being rehomed. She was meant to be my dog. Edit: Sometimes, her gas can melt paint not your heart. She's bad about picking up things that shouldn't be near a dog's mouth so I have to keep my head on a swivel.
You should interview the man who started the breed, David Leavitt. He's quite the bulldog fanatic and has access to a lot of historic depictions of bulldogs in art. It's a shame that some people didn't stick to his breeding standards namely that of rigorous health testing/screening. And seemingly of only including bulldog breeds as some olde english bulldogs clearly have some Rottweiler in them.
@@bygoneera9521 I've only found information supporting that David Leavitt re-started the olde english bulldogge. Where/when/how was the breed restarted based on your research?
My OEB is just over 3 yrs now and he’s about 70-75 lbs and solid. Easily trained with food. Loves both my wife and I, is great with the kids and our three cats. No food aggression and really loves to play hard for about 30-45 minutes a day. He’s crate trained but sleeps on the couch at night. I have owned a lot of dogs in my life from pound mutts to pure breeds. This is the last breed I’ll ever have. I recommend finding a reputable breeder and get one if you’re looking for a protective loving family dog
I have a Olde / Apbt/staff bull mix. He's the perfect dog outside of being a people eater. Can run , jump , climb fences & has as much prey drive as any of the game bred working APBTs I've owned & bred. My buddy owns a heavy inbred gr ch haunch dog that knocked up a Staff Bull. Another irresponsible person bought a female which ended up getting pregnant by a Olde/Jeep bred apbt. I bought my male for a house dog. Picked him at 2 weeks & brought him home at 8. He's my best bud
I have an olde english buldogge, they sold it to me as a pocket bully, but i wasn’t conviced about that. Im convince he is one OEB now thanks to this video
I must say, that UKC actually does acknowledge this breed already since 2014. Only the FCI and the AKC do not recognize the Olde English bulldog as breed yet. But surely they too will recognize this wonderful breed soon. Until they do, OEBs can take part in competitive dog sports among the mixed races at AKC and FCI events. But as I said, the UKC does recognize the pure bred OEB and will register OEBs with sound pedigree. Ralphy is such a cute little boy. 😍😍😍 The perfect dog in today's Europe, especially for women and for families with children. ❤❤❤ I will get an OEB soon, who will be trained to be my PTSD service dog. Until recently, I had a Rottweiler, who also was my trained and certified PTSD service dog. Sadly he died on April 29th in my arms, three weeks after he had suffered injuries from a trap in a local field with high grass, which had been laid out by a dog and / or child hater. My Rottweiler Lodur only got to be 7 years old and he was my perfect, loving, caring, and loyal service dog until the very last minute of his life. I will never forget him and I will always miss him. 😢😭
I agree. This is much more healthier and athletic, I see the strong pitbull genes in the body, but it still carries some of the strong bulldog traits, like wide chested, wide head, and still smushed face with that famous lower jaw, but they did an amazing job brining it back and giving healthier body and head structure while keeping some of the main qualities in an English bulldog before the were bred into a living nightmare. I think they are more appealing then English bulldogs, cuz as you just saw you can take them on hikes, jogs, just go do stuff and be physical and happy. Not a couch potato that can't breathe can't play can't have adventures. I strongly prefer this American made old English bulldog, to what the English bulldogs of today are.
Nice Dog breed and whe can see that the Pittbull Terrier whas used for this Old English Bulldog breed tapered backline and byte power, and I hope that the gene pool stay big for healthy in the future so no inbreed with famely on the pedigree !🤠

@@lorenrich2525 I’m not sure they do, their lineage isn’t confirmed and supposedly they’re bred from 3 different types of bulldogs. The Leavitt bulldog is the original combination of OEB’s of the past so Dave is generally recognized as bringing the original OEB back into existence.
You should do a video on the American Bulldog. There is 2 basic types: Standard (Alan Scott) & Classic or Bully (John D. Johnson). Many have crossed the 2 types and are calling them hybrids.
Lovely looking dog! The American Bulldog is the old English Bulldog. They took a lot over in the eighteenth century. And as far as I’m aware haven’t been bred with other dogs to change the breed from then in any way. They just took over the biggest and most bad ass specimens they could find. They did the same with Staffordshire Bull terriers. Which they used to breed the American Pitty from. They’ve stayed very pure in certain places since then. Because the American Bulldog nearly went extinct itself. In the seventies breeders in America went looking for the last of them to breed to save the species. And those breeders saved the breed from disappearing all together!
None of the og breeders went over seas. They're plantation dogs. Southern farm dogs are the foundation for what we have today. Any English blood is 150 generations back
currently have a bullmastiff and was looking for an olde english to get as my second dog but couldnt find a good one anywhere so I settled for a boxer, but I would still love to one day own an olde english.
Looks awsome. We have a beautiful valley bull dog half old English and boxer. Kevin’s is his name as his mom is identical to this one and dad was a stockier boxer. Amazing athleticism. And drive. Kevin has been clocked at 58 km per hour can leap over seven feet when catching frisbee. He has more of moms head and dads chest with big lungs and weight is 60 lbs. keep up your breeding program looks like your doing a great job
Norway placed a ban on the breeding of Cavalier King Charles Spaniels and the English bulldog . We have had Cavaliers since the late 70s in our family all lived into double figures all but one made it past 14 years of age . My current two were bred by breeders of over 40 years experience and their Dad is from a German breeder . The breeding stock is health tested and the correct outcrosses are built into the Cavaliers line . Cavaliers in the hands of bad breeders like any pedigree dog including say Dobermans or German Shepherds can have equally disastrous results that cause suffering for a poor innocent dog . I don’t think anything can be done to improve the typical English bulldog and the stories I’ve read about bad breeding among Frenchies is equally as heartbreaking. So lovely to see Ralph chomping at the bit to exercise , have fun and say hello to new humans , what a Bonny little lad he is and healthy . As Anneka stated surely this must be the way forward …… I met an Olde English Bulldog in Durham PAH a few years ago such a friendly dog , his owner told me the breed is very sociable with other dogs too , this breed surely must be recognised soon it’s progress back to the future indeed . Well done Ralph 👏👏👏👏👏👏oh and thanks for the video too 👍👍

Her mother, father and grandmother are show winners. I chose not to show her, just spoil her 2 death. Love her. She looks different from this dog, she's taller her face isn't as wide, her fathers face is though extremely wide like this gorgeous boy, she much taller than this beautiful boy...

They are registered with several registries, including the UKC. IOEBA and ABKC. The Olde English Bulldogge ( not Old English Bulldog ) Is a healthier Bulldog breed when bred correctly. They are a Bulldog breed and can be aggressive with other animals and people. They do make good guard/family dogs.

One more thing; if you’re outside with them for the first time playing that day, not just a quick potty, everyone should watch out. lol He gets to running making his laps and nobody is safe if he gets offline. He will clean you out and not even mean to. 🤣 They need a good 15-30 minute exercise daily if weather permits. Just let them run, throw a toy they like fetching, etc. Big balls of love and energy.
@@dholiday9315 thank you VERY MUCH for your detailed reply it is appreciated your OEB sounds a cracking fella and it must be fun in your house with the dogs and cat 👍
All the best mate and thanks for that .
What a magnificent creature. The dogs not bad either
I prefer Anneka myself 👍
Always one simp

David Leavitt didn't start the regenesis of the British Bull Dog Ken Mollett did.
He never started this breed….Leavitts dogs are far to big n heavy, nothing like an olde English ….this dogs a far better representation.
Very nice 👍🏽 this owner has done a fantastic job with his dog and this new version of the bulldog is amazing.Aloha 🤙🏾
I’d love one these dogs. They’re far nicer than what we consider bulldogs.
In 2009 my son and his wife had two here in Florida. They seemed taller than the examples you show.
The perfect dog in today's Europe, especially for women and for families with children. ❤❤❤
I will get an OEB soon, who will be trained to be my PTSD service dog. 😢😭
Favorite breed!!
Best dog ever. Mine is 7 years old now and the goodest boy
The perfect dog.
What a beauty.
Nice Dog breed and whe can see that the Pittbull Terrier whas used for this Old English Bulldog breed tapered backline and byte power, and I hope that the gene pool stay big for healthy in the future so no inbreed with famely on the pedigree !🤠
I.O.E.B.A paved the road to bringing the health an agility back to the breed
Love my olde English bulldogge Axel brilliant dog's and so easy to train
These are so cute!! I love mines
Beautiful presenter and amazing dogs...what more do you want from youtube? I love this channel!
I like what Chadde, 1st508thAirborne, developed. The Renascence Bulldogge.
Does he still keep them? The last few videos I’ve seen of his they don’t seem to be around anymore
@Tony I think he's focusing on the Lycan Shepherd project. But, there are friends of his who are keeping the line going.
@@davidb1975a ah that’s good, they are beautiful dogs 👍
He did a good job, but I think last years he went for an longer back type.
But I am still glad to have the Renascence Bulldog.
Would be curious about the in line breeding it took to get there. 🤔
The majority now are scatterbred.
They left out boxer in his bloodline the actual real ones that started in 1970s didn't have pits and had boxer
Wreck it Ralph is an Adorable and very 🐕🐶 Sociable Dog 🐕🐩🐕

@Animal-Watch PUT YOUR BOOBS AWAY LADY!! This supposed to be a video about these sweet pups, and you shouldn't need to show so much skin to get views!!
Not All bulldogs are like that, and i can't see this new version ever being as popular as the English Bulldog. They are great family members and a pleasure to own
Our family just got a puppy . It is awesome smart sweet and ball of love
A face only a mother can love.
A face everyone can love
Great video...! But you can't mention the Olde without mentioning Dave Levitt..!
Exactly, they’ve been back since the 70’s thanks to Dave!
Dave is the reason for this breeds existence..!
Where does the Alapaha Bulldog fit into all of this, if at all?
@@lorenrich2525 I’m not sure they do, their lineage isn’t confirmed and supposedly they’re bred from 3 different types of bulldogs. The Leavitt bulldog is the original combination of OEB’s of the past so Dave is generally recognized as bringing the original OEB back into existence.
@@ashleyc2525 cool, thanks….im really loving all these functional, healthier true bulldog type breeds
You should do a video on the American Bulldog. There is 2 basic types: Standard (Alan Scott) & Classic or Bully (John D. Johnson). Many have crossed the 2 types and are calling them hybrids.
I heard it was a hind? And Johnson?
You rewriting history?
None of the og breeders went over seas. They're plantation dogs. Southern farm dogs are the foundation for what we have today. Any English blood is 150 generations back
currently have a bullmastiff and was looking for an olde english to get as my second dog but couldnt find a good one anywhere so I settled for a boxer, but I would still love to one day own an olde english.
Definitely contact RC Kennels for advice
Also have a Bullmastiff she’s 6 months
Looks awsome. We have a beautiful valley bull dog half old English and boxer. Kevin’s is his name as his mom is identical to this one and dad was a stockier boxer. Amazing athleticism. And drive. Kevin has been clocked at 58 km per hour can leap over seven feet when catching frisbee. He has more of moms head and dads chest with big lungs and weight is 60 lbs. keep up your breeding program looks like your doing a great job
Oh wow just magnificent, and the dog was ok as well.
thank you its good to see this
My dogs dad was a old English bulldogge and his mum is an American bulldog and I got a great dog he's unbelievable.
Brilliant that the original bull dog is back, shame they can’t do the same with Boxers, King Charles, Pug, French bulldog.
This dog looks exactly like a miniature dogue de bordeaux (although described differently)!
Fantastic wee dog!! So different than the KC mutants!
I have a 2 year olde English Nd he's fit and healthy and a great companion
Absolutely beautiful dog and amazingly trained, 🥰❤️🔥💯💯💯
Thank you Thank you Thank you 😊 🙏 ☺️ for this great awesome video!!! And on my Birthday too ,I'm loving this FOR REAL!!!

We have one old english bulldog puppy and we happy
Well done Ralph 👏👏👏👏👏👏oh and thanks for the video too 👍👍
Lindo trabajo por tu amor a los perros, preciosa 😍💯
We have a Olde English Bulldog. Looks exactly like this dog. She's my baby! Unfortunately, she does not do well with our American Bully or vice versa.
Great to see this. Health first
I have one. Mostly calm at home and walking twice would be fine. Very friendly to children and people. All dog issues are on just humans, not dogs.
Just glad it's healthy !
I have a registered olde English Bulldogge. She is 75% English and 25%bull mastiff. Doesn't have all these other breeds in her at all. She's registered with genetic testing back 4 generations. Her mother, father and grandmother are show winners. I chose not to show her, just spoil her 2 death. Love her. She looks different from this dog, she's taller her face isn't as wide, her fathers face is though extremely wide like this gorgeous boy, she much taller than this beautiful boy...
I had one of these 20 years ago a Ken Mollet dog he was recreating before the dorset dogs and using kc pedigree dogs The one I had Ollie was an absalute specimen had a screw tail too
I have not long got a old English bulldog hope he can turn out like this
They are registered with several registries, including the UKC. IOEBA and ABKC. The Olde English Bulldogge ( not Old English Bulldog ) Is a healthier Bulldog breed when bred correctly. They are a Bulldog breed and can be aggressive with other animals and people. They do make good guard/family dogs.
Looks like>Super Pit Bull
