    I actually really like the way he tied that rig. I’m going to try that as those style hooks are what we primarily have here in the USA.

    Great easy to follow video, I saw before harry was saying to use wafters instead of pop ups, I’ve always used fake pop up corn with fairly good success but I’ll definitely give this a go and see if it makes a difference 🤞

      As long as the hookbait sinks under the weight of the hook but still retains buoyancy then you’ll be fine. In fact Harry often uses fake pop up corn in his bags too, as well as tiny pop ups.

      @@fox_international trying to convince the lads I'm with to actually watch and adopt it as a tactic takes some work but there coming round to it now after seeing the results . And not to sound like a arselicker but the rapid system just makes it so much quicker and easier

    Can you use a bottom bait with a pva bag rig

  • @chrislow123
    @chrislow123 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    How long should the rig be? With a solid bag I’m assuming shorter than normal?
    To get the perfect balance when using a pop up should I use putty too?

    • @fox_international
      @fox_international  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      3-4inches is about right👍 better to trim the popup than add putty. Get it sinking under the weight of the hook

    • @chrislow123
      @chrislow123 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@fox_international didn’t think of trimming it!! I guess I could go with a wafter too and no need to trim?

    Prefer a size 4 hook myself especially when fishing barbless venues, find they go in and stay in. Solid bags though, don’t dismiss them! Use them for 90% of my angling!

    • @fox_international
      @fox_international  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Big hooks will also work well, the key is the short supple hooklink and simple hair rig setup

      @@fox_international absolutely! Short supple rig, super sharp hook! No getting away :)

    Hi harry would you recommend the hair or as good using bait screws ??

    • @fox_international
      @fox_international  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Harry prefers a hair as it affects the buoyancy of the hookbait less 👍

    When did a bag rig start using a chod hook? Seem logical,but the bag rigs you sell are normal hooks?!

    • @fox_international
      @fox_international  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The hook choice is all personal preference and most patterns will work. The key to a good solid bag rig is it needs to be simple and supple. 👍

    I think that the hooklink is to long. I wouldn't use more than 4in

    • @fox_international
      @fox_international  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The finished hooklink should be 3-4ins in length but you need to cut off 8ins at the start to give you enough space for the loops and knots etc
