Video could not of come at a better time. Im lookin for anew strimmer. This looks mighty impressive . I think i,ll end up with 1 of these . My garden is about the same as the 1 u showed . Thanks 4 shareing. Keep up the good work
😁 Your welcome Wayne. I'm very impressed with it so far. I have the added benefit that I have other Stanley Fatmax V20 battery tools. So I will never struggle with a flat battery 😁. Thanks for watching Wayne 😁👍
I have just bought one of these trimmers, and I used it for the first time. The problem is that the auto line advance doesn't advance much , only about 2/3 of the distance to the trimmer blade. I checked the spool, no tangles, and the motor makes that click on startup like yours but the line feed is not working properly. I'm about to take it back tk the shop. Any ideas why it's not working properly?
😁 Hi Stan. I must say that I haven't had any issues with my auto feed on my one, and im now on my second line re-fill. I can only assume that either the line is wound too tight or the advance mechanism is stuck 🤔. So its probebly worth taking it apart again just to check it's all free. Also check the line is wound in the correct direction. And finally ensure the spool is sitting correctly when you re-assemble. If all of that is correct and it is still faulty I would return it back to the store and you should get a refund or an exchange. Good luck Stan. Let me know how you get on 😁 thanks for watching 😁👍
Hi Frank, Looks like a good garden strimmer, easy enough to put together and use. Only used a third of the battery power in a good half hours strimming that is good going and is it easy and light enough to use. As always a good honest review and great video, catch you soon mate, Take care
😁 Thanks Shaun. I must admit, I am more than pleased with it. I've told Mrs Little Workshop she can only use it... after she has watched the video 🤣🤣. Ill do anything for an extra view 😆. Take care mate, catch you soon 😁👍
@porkbone42 🤔 That's a bit strange. If it is a defect then you are entitled to return or exchange it (if you have only had it a short while). I know it's hassle sending it back but it may be worth a try. Mine is still the best strimmer I have owned so I'm more than happy with it 😁. Thanks for watching 😁 👍
I have one of these. Is the spool mechanism supposed to rattle? I'm thinking it has a problem and I should return it. The thing also keeps stopping every few seconds under load.
@cathyashwood1494 🤔 Hi Cathy, I suggest you return it as soon as possible. It shouldn't rattle or cut out. If you have only just got it you should be able to return it either to the store where you purchased it, or directly back to Stanley. My one is still going strong with no rattles or cutting out. Good luck with your return. Thanks for watching 😁 👍
@@frankslittleworkshop thanks so much Frank, I talked to Stanley and I rang the supplier today. They're going to send it to their agent and give me a replacement so I am very happy about that!! Would be lost without it :) ... great video too, very informative!
@@frankslittleworkshop thanks again Frank. I've just been down to the shop and they reneged on their promise and said they have to send it away. Talked about 'if there's any cost to me' which is outrageous as it's got a 3 year warranty. It could be weeks before a resolve. Not happy today, but we'll see.
@cathyashwood1494 🤔 That sounds a bit off ☹️. I'm not an expert but as far as I'm concerned there shouldn't be any cost to you. Please let me know the outcome. I hope it works out OK. Sorry your experience hasn't been as good as mine ☹️
😁 Thanks Ian. It works well and I actually used it. When I trimmed up to a wall it was perfect and saves changing the strimmer line every 30 seconds 😁. Thanks for watching Ian 😁👍
I have the fatmax strimmer. must have been a friday make...The trigger disengages.. and as for the vibration from the handle is so bad it makes my hand go numb..Im a tall fella, i have to lean down just to reach the grass !! must have been thought of by short blokes !!! its just over 1 year old . i dread using it.
🤔🤔 Is it the same model as this one ? The vibration on this is minimal and its more than long enough for me and im a six footer 🤔. Obviously I've only had mine a couple of months but have had no trouble with mine at all ?? 🤔🤔 Thanks for watching 😁 👍
😃 I've seen the same. People swapping the Stanley and Craftsman batterys over. But don't know if you can get the Craftsman tools here in the UK?. But I prefer the yellow anyway 😆😆👍
Hey Frank Check out Stanley tools Italy or Germany they have way more Stanley power tools than are sold in the UK also Mr Worker sells Stanley V60 the 54V tools and double charger for the V20 and 6AH V20 battery's , I emailed Stanley UK and they have no idea why these tools are not sold in the UK and have no idea if they ever will. For example they sell 190mm circular saw only 165 sold here... also the cordless brushless Router most of it looks just like the dewalt cousins.
😃 Oh wow, thanks Daniel. Great info. I'll have a look. I've been looking for the V20 router for ages and just couldn't find one.. ill also look at Mr Worker. Thanks again Daniel, much appreceated 😁👍.
Entertaining and informative as usual. That machine is rather impressive. Thanks Frank.
😁 Thanks Chris. Now I can't wait for my grass to grow again 😆😆. Thanks for watching mate 😁👍

I have this model. My mud guard can't go in all the way so it usually falls off when i knock it, otherwise, a nice trimmer.

I did a bit of digging, the stanley fatmax tools are branded craftsman in the USA. Only difference is in the US they are red.
