Absolutely phenomenal! The best part is that you don't need it to be that loud and there isn't any whooping, noisy lost boys to bother the hauntingly beautiful song that just makes me want to float away to Neverland. I imagine Killian got pretty used to this too (I know it's enchanted so only children who feel lost can hear it, but maybe it's all children in the area, and since the percussion part isn't, Killian would only hear the flute), which makes his story even sadder. Sometimes I wish Mark had added more notes, but it's not really necessary.
Well Rumple heard it as an adult because he was abandoned at a young age and therefore could have been a "lost boy", so I guess Killian heard it too, since he was also abandoned.
I really like the D to Db in the opening, it gives the song this ‘off’ feeling and it’s like a slightly malevolent force breaking through into the music. Like the music Pan plays is telling you that he’s secretly evil though he just seems like a person calling you away to adventure and eternal youth. My (not really so inner) lost girl has been so obsessed that she’s learned to play it already.

Funny story. Ok so my little sisters were outside one night and we heard a flute. It sounded like someone was playing a flute in the parking lot by our house for some reason. But my sisters and I were like “Oh my gosh! It’s like Peter Pan!” Then the next night we heard the flute again...only this time it was THIS song!!! We heard it and we recognized it and like...it was this exact song. So then we were freaked out but excited at the same time. This went on for the next couple of nights. But none of the adults could here it...which is kinda Pan’s thing. Only kids could hear it. So our parents and our 18 year old sister couldn’t but my sisters (14) and I (16) could!! So we were like OMG it’s really Peter Pan. And so this went on for like two nights and I was starting to question my life for reals. Like....I was freaking out thinking fictional characters might not actually be fictional...then my youngest sister after about two to three nights of this told us that she had played this song on her phone and hid it in her pocket and would turn it off when our parents and oldest sister came out!!! 😂😂 Best Prank Ever!! My sister and I were mad but impressed.
