It is perfectly normal for OP and James to keep the news to thenselves while they processed tge diagnosis. The mother is way out of line for what she is doing. She had no right to reveal the diagnosis to James's parents. She is an appalling woman who was not backing down.
I call my mother Radio mother, anything you say goes out on her airwaves. Mind you she is so sly and sneaky, ask her who she has spoken to or where has she been, oh nothing or here and there. My kids and husband were talking about sharing their locations, how my husband was listed as in cardiac rehabilitation. Here ears perked up, asked us to set it up for her, BUT when we explained that she has to reciprocate….lol go no I don’t want to be tracked. This is a 91 year old lady, still drives a hybrid, swears by her iPad,phone etc.. parents need to realize that adult children deserve to be independent and protected.
The mother's behaviors and actions against her daughter and SIL, by purposely breaching personal medical privacy is disgusting! And she did ALL of that just to gain attention for herself, a narcissistic, entitled and self-righteous toxic witch! She got the karma she SO deserved for sticking her nose into everyone else's privacy and personal buisnesses!

Everyone should've sued her and HIPPA should've gotten involved by having her charged.
