He also used a Gibson Les Paul because of Euronymous as far as i remember, they were good friends

Do you guys know of that les paul was norlin era? (Maple neck)
He probably owned that guitar for some time before getting to know Euronymous, he played since he was a child and it was not uncommon for kids to have gibsons as their first guitars at the time
His first guitar was a washed cherry sunburst standard. His custom was a norlin era black beauty with a tp 6 tailpiece. The volute is clearly visible in the rebirth of dissection show.

Nice work but the speedy part after opening power chords the right it's like "220 000000 220 000000 220 000000" and not "220 0000 220 0000 220 0000"..it makes a lot difference in difficulty level but when succeed to play 6 and stay in same time as when you play 4 this speedy gem is total pleasant for ears..right hand on fire🔥

May I ask what gear you're using? I've been shopping around for a new amp and I really want to take to tone influence from nodtveidt but he's a bit out of range for me
Jon Nodveidt used a Les Paul/Flying V into a Boss MT-2 as a boost into a Marshall JCM 800/900 and I guess Celestion 65 or 75 watts.
Question très spécifique et en retard mais, dans les mesures 2 à 10, tu joues 4 fois la corde E à vide entre les powerchords, en écoutant la chanson je n'arrive pas à savoir si Jon la jouait 4 ou 6 fois (les avis divergent sur internet), qu'en penses-tu ?

Guillaume, which kind of JCM900 is this? Dual reverb, slx or mk3?
I don't know exactly which model of JCM900 exactly. However i guess he used it in the clean channel for his Metal Zone pedal.
@@GuillaumeVrac As far as I know he used it into a dirty Amp, turned the distortion on the pedal to 0 and basically used it as an eq in front

@@inumbrate860 Everyone say that but can someone can tell me how, if it is true, he can go on clean sound without touching volume pot ? Everyone say he used MT2 as a boost because they can't get a good sound with this pedal, but, hey, has they really tried to tweak and used it with a pretty good clean amp, not in a V eq style, and in a band mix, or did they only tried it in their room alone, searching on internet what people say about this pedal ? Mt2 is really good to boost amps, ok, but for black metal it can sound really good, cold (but that the goal), if the guitarist take time to set the pedal properly
Jon used it as a normal distortion, may be he used even two in studio, and a regular boss delay after MT2 (and before amp) for lead parts. Dissection sound is not hard to have, MT2 + Marshall amps and cab, a good plate reverb, time to set the sound with the band mix, that's all.
How you recorded this? Via mic or the torpedo i see in the back? i have a 100w jcm 800 and i was wondering if i should buy the torpedo captor

@@arissp4950 In France we have some good vintage markets that work well for that. But i don't know if a Flying V is so easy to find.
Your tab scroll is faster than your playing, and out of sync.
A lot of this is just completely incorrectly played. Really weird how you can listen to this song and think that this is how some of the parts are played. For example the part starting at 2:01 is mercilessly butchered.
I’ve never pretended it was a cover faithful to the original. Come on, do your accurate version so we can judge by comparison!
