I’m making a sheet for personal information which will have a cell that requires attaching docuemnts such as passport … ETC , is there a similar function to hyperlink that will pop-up a tab to the user’s PC to attach the documents ???
i know what you said but i dont have excel..just wondering in general is mostly pdf that you can insert in the spreadsheet.. and this does not imply that other types of spreadsheets have the same capacity? ty

We are using office 365 suite. we are trying to hyperlink some PDF files into excel and wish when we click the link, the PDF file open from the application, but now it is open from the browser. I am sure my defualt application to PDF is PDF Acrobat, but it still open from web browser in this case. I already knew how to change the setting if you want to open the files (Excel, Word, and PPT) either from web browser or desk top apps, but I have no idea how to change it for PDF. Do you have any idea how to change this?
sir i would really appreciate if you can help me,i just did what you taught in this video using a pc with office 2016 excel app with adobe acrobat pdf reader ,then i transfer the file into a laptop with office 2016 excel app with nitro pdf reader ,i tried to open the embedded pdfs in the excel file but it won't open ,the error said cant find source application to open,then i embed one more pdf in the file using nitro pdf then i transfer the file back to pc to try to open the the pdf i just embedded ,and it won't open. does it means if i transfer the file to someone ,hia device needs to be installed the same pdf app as my device to be able to open the embedded pdfs in excel files?

If i have pdf files saved with the name project 1 project 2, and with the help of a formula (which I dont know) excel automatically picks these files and place it in the desire cell I want. What about if when insert->object-> "object type" option I don't have PDF reader only docx options? How can I connect excel and PDF reader?
Hi thanks for this, but is it possible to inset a pdf with e.g. 20+ pages? When I use the function it only inserts the first page of the pdf...

Maybe you should start with putting everything in a folder. Link files inside the folder also save the xlsx in the same folder and try sharing it.
You need to embed the file not link.
