I met my would-be husband (Shashi Reiki aka actor Kamaljeet), an extremely handsome man, during Shagoon (1964). He liked me then. But he had placed his hopes on the film, which flopped. His film, Son Of India (1962) with Mehboob Khan saab hadn’t worked either. Heartbroken, he left India. He set up a boutique in Canada. Years later, when he was in India, Yash Joharji, his friend, told him, ‘You used to like Waheeda. Why don’t you propose to her? I guess she’s ready to marry.’ He proposed to me and we got married in April 1974.
Kamaljeet died of brain haemorrhage in Bombay in November 2000

इसमें दो राय नहीं हो सकती कि कमलजीत एक अच्छे इन्सान थे। फ़िल्मों में सफल होना, न होना, व्यक्ति की कलात्मक प्रवृत्ति, कल्पनाशीलता और वहां मिलने वाले अवसरों पर निर्भर करता है। कमलजीत का मानवीय स्वरूप एवं अच्छे पति और पिता की ज़िम्मेदारी सफलतापूर्वक वहन करने का पक्ष अधिक मज़बूत था। मैंने उनकी केवल एक फ़िल्म देखी थी--Son of India जो 1964 में release हुई थी।

१८६४ के बाद वहीदा और कमलजीत छुपछुपकर मिलते थे. फ़िल्मो से दूर होने के बाद कमलजित अमेरिका चले गये थे. सिर्फ़ वहीदा से मिलने के लिये वे इंडिया आते थे. इस वजह से उनकी शादी १० साल के बाद हुई.

किशाेर साहू हमारे छत्तीसगढ़ के थे उनकी बेटी नैना साहू भी फिल्म --- हरे कांच की चूडियाँ में हीराेईन थी जिसे किशाेर साहू ने यह फिल्म बनाई थी
परंतु दुर्भाग्य से नैना साहू की वो फ़िल्म चल नहीं पायी. किशोर साहू बहुआयामी इंसान द. साहित्य के प्रति उन्हें आस्था थी और उनकी लगभग सभी फ़िल्में साहित्यपर आधारित थी. फ़िल्मो का बदलता रंग उन्हें चिंतित कर देता था इस वजह से उन्होंने फ़िल्में बनाना बंद कर दी. बतौर लेखक उनकी कुछ किताबे मार्केट में आज भी मिल जाती हैं और उनका आत्मचारित्र भी बढ़ने में रोचक हैं. उन्होंने कई सारी छोटीबड़ी कहानियाँ भी लिखी थी. हमारे हिसाब से वे छतिसगढ़ में आज भी लोकप्रिय हैं. दुर्भाग्य से आज उन्हें बॉलीवुड याद नहीं करता.
फिल्म flop रही यह आपने सही कहा किशाेर साहू पुराने मशहूर कलाकार थे अपने जमाने की सभी हीराे हीराेईन के साथ काम किए थे कला ,साहित्य के बहुत बडे विद्वान थे 🙏

पुराने जमानेमे ऐसे बहुत कलाकार थे .उस जमनेमे सिनेमा मे काम करना अच्छा नहीं स्मझा जाता इस लिये दिखने मे आच्छे लेकीन अभिनय मे झिरो नट् आते थे. कूछ के तारे अच्छ होणेके कारण टिक गये जैसे विश्वजित,जितेंद्र,धर्मेंद्र,मनोज कुमार,विनोद मेहरा शम्मी कपूर.कमल जीत,एम.राजन खराब नसिब की वजहसे फ्लॉप हो गये.
