I have travelled to Florida fir the last three years in a row, and even been to Disney World, which is jam paced with people and NO MASK! I did what is proven to work: eat a healthy diet with whole foods, exercise 6 days per week, and supplement with Vitamin D every single day. Not, technically, locked down here, but I live in an apartment building that is half 55 plus & half people with disabilities.
Now that it's warmer out, I can get myself out. I can believe how out of shape I am after 12 months of staying in the apartment building.

We’re in Washington state, the first town to get a case in the US, the first to close all schools and go virtual, with members of my family in the medical field working through the pandemic. As a household we hunkered down, went full on remote. Thankfully we never caught it, remarkably even family in medicine. But when the first vaccines got here and I finally got an appointment downtown where Amazon’s headquarters was transformed to handle the number of people I cried all the way downtown, in the line, confirming my reservation with the QR code, profuse thanks to all the Amazon workers … crying while waiting the 15 minutes to see if I react and turn into a zombie. So grateful.

I had an opportunity to sign up for it a couple months back, since I’m in healthcare. I had the virus back in October and out of commission for a month. Not sure what the non-vaccine vaccine would actually help me with that the virus didn’t already do.
You can still get sick from a different strain or lose your immunity after a while.
