Switches are now cranky, lost backlight for kill switch and starter. Other than side stand assembly, the one near the stand ( that was unable to source ), every switch and light works. Not to say that I haven't worked on it myself ( not that I don't trust mechanics, at times I don't, but doing yourself builds up the knowledge base and makes sure you know your machine if anything goes wrong ). Have upgraded with Avenger stator coil, popped in 90 / 100 bulb and running great for last 5 years. Had planned for complete dc but the BCU is complicating. And she is now 13 years old. Just a suggestion, if possible, help me understand, my starter when pressed keeps the motor spinning even when engine has cranked up ( most of the times ) relay is stuck. Replaced with OEM relay ( twice ). Doesn't crank unless pressed ( that eliminates the switch ) Lastly, I suspect the relay holder has gone bad ( likely carbon deposits ). Will diagnose further, but what's your take ?
Glad to hear that you're maintaining your machine with that much passion. Now coming to diagnosis, I would say clean the carbon deposits using a electrical contact cleaner and also do check the RH switch starter button as that also can be a culprit.

I have same problem ,there is problem in fuel pump, and yamaha service center guy charge me a hefty amount for repairing, but after long harassment finally i tried my self and replace fuel pump motor which i purchased from karol bagh market at 800 ₹ and replaced in my fuel pump and after 2 years there is no problem in my bike

Bro recently when I got my KTM Duke 200 washed,faced the same issue but i sprayed a liberal amount of WD 40 to kill switch's seams and Viola ! problem solved.Same thing happened with the high beam low beam switch fixed that too using the same method.

Same issue came up on my 2011 CBR 250R, spraying throttle body cleaner fixed the issue and the 10 year old starter works as new
I had that problem nothing worked wd40 petrol. I short it manually from the connector terminal for some days. Then replaced it later.

Wd 40/zorrik spray is a temporary fix for this issue 😁 if it bugs you on a road trip 👍🏻 Kuch boond Kersosene bhi chalega 😂

They told me to change me a rectifier. I already changed a rtrfier.. 😥coz of battery charging 46error now they are telling me to change me magnet coil which gives a supply to a charger all over a bike. Iam going mad what's a actuall problem someone says battery problem someone says rectifier? Someone says? Magnet coil??
