Thanks for another fun & informative video. We were on the same cruise, and it was the first time I've ever seen snow on a cruise ship. I've seen bigger waves, off the southern coast of Chile, but that was on a much smaller ship. All in all, I thought the captain & crew did an excellent job of dealing with the weather.
Led Zeppelin's Immigrant Song would have great for the Dining Room sequence, lol. Reminds me I really need to make sure I have the dramamine for my Transatlantic in April. Thanks for your vids!
NCL is the only cruise line I know that does not return port fees. Not a good look keeping that money. I don't think I could have stayed in the dinning room. I don't get sea sick but that would have freaked me out- lol
I totally agree. Not giving any refund of the cruise fare is in line with other but not returning port fees and taxes that they don't even owe cause they didn't dock at a port is basically theft to me. Not impressed with NCL at all.
@@parodeejay yes it is a last evening thing for NCL (Prima at least) because when we sailed on Prima in February we got the swan heart towel animal on the last night as well
I was looking forward to this portion of your Iceland voyage and see how things looked on the ship and out the window. I feel so sorry for the crew when they are in rough weather and have to continue to serve. Smart of the cruise line to offer wheel chairs for people not able to walk. Dancing with Dee in the hallway was fun. Looking forward to the British Isles next, as we booked the same cruise for next June.
That was some ride. I was in one that was like that. We were at breakfast and we had been rockiing all night. We just got our food and we hit a rather large wave. I reached for my coffee at just that moment and the dishes went sliding off the table. I managed to stay in my seat and save the coffee. 😊. Waited for my new breakfast to arrive.
Question- Do you think lost 2 ports and had rough seas because it was early in the season or just bad luck? That dining room footage was rough. I would feel bad for the waiters. Great series overall. Glad you got to see more of Iceland post cruise.
Wow this video reminded me of our cruise to Hawaii last January on the Miracle. We hit 2 major storms and it was scary. So happy you were ok. Looking forward to the upcoming series. Regards to Mama Jay.
I read a 1 star review about a tour company in Iceland because they would not refund their money due to the cancellation to Reykjavik. I looked on their site and it says…non refundable if not canceled in 24 hrs. We need to tell people if not booking with the cruise line they have to read the rules of their excursion with an outside source. It was not a fair review.
We had the same experience, but we were fortunate to reschedule our excursion to our land portion, coming up next. Negative reviews definitely shouldn't be left for customers misunderstanding the cancellation policy, and we did get into that a bit during the wrap-up of our Iceland Day 2 vlog, coming soon!! :D
Mother Nature is very much in control and I’m glad you didn’t have to fly out the same day as debarkation. Do you still have to use Bonine or have you sailed to the point of sea sickness no longer affecting you?
The sea looked rough, I remember a cruise on Carnival we had that we had 24 ft waves 4 of the five engines broke we were out to sea 5 out of 7, lets say I took extra Bonine and I was fine, but a lot of people got sick Carnival opened the bars for 2 hours free drinks, gave us half our money back before we left and gave us 50% off a future cruise. Funny thing they played Titanic in main theater and my daughter went to watch. We all made the best of it and still had a good time.
Wow that ship hit some big waves. My first cruise was 2 weeks after Hurricane Sandy in Nov of all times. I was so thankful I took seasick patches with me they worked. People were sick. After our comedy show we all stood up took 1 step then everyone had to shift to take another step from rocking it was like a movie scene lol
Not going to lie, that stinks they won't refund the port fees and taxes. They don't have to pay them so what is their reasoning for keeping the money? Unless I'm missing something. Especially since they did it in the past.
Rock and Roll, kids!! It wasn't scary because the NCL Prima is a smooth sailing lady, but it was like everyone on the ship was tipsy!! Iceland is back on my bucket list, and I've already booked two cruises with my FCC's. Captain Kevin was brilliant!! OUT!
I just hope the staff of all the venues will either be tipped cash or remembered in the post cruise comment sheets. To continue to provide all the services as the people dining were grabbing onto the tables for dear life seems way above and beyond to me. A big salute to the staff and the captain for keeping you informed as the situation worsened. I miss Mermaid Dee and her joy seeing the turtles.

I love the captain and his "OUT"
Love your videos lots of information about cruise
Aw, they canceled Price is right, bummer! I would love to experience that show on a cruise!
We got to see it the first time we sailed Prima, and it was a lot of fun!! :D
My nerves could 100% not handle that!!!
We went on a whale excursion in Reykjavik and a majority of the boat was sick. Meanwhile, me and a few others were like "WEEEEE" 😂😂😂😂
Holy crap scary
Those cajun mushrooms look good. Wow that sea looks rough though.
Wow you lose weight and that rough oh my goodness glad you guys are okay and didn't get sick thanks for the video
95 cruises? Nice!!!
6:18 Holy Sea Sick.

bad when your water glass at dinner has white caps
Did we find out if the MDR menu is actually rotating or not? Thanks
It’s rotating again, just like the old days. The single menu concept that we experienced in November 2022 must not have gone over well!!
bumpy

How did your friends fare with the waves? I think you were missing one at dinner.
Yes, we lost one dinnermate due to the motion... she stayed in her cabin that evening!!
That looks like a 2 Bonine ride!
If you think it was bad trying to eat that meal while the ship was bubbling and bobbalin, can you imagine what it would be like cooking it. Yikes.
Did you ask for towel animals? I thought NCL didn't do them.
No, we didn’t ask. Maybe it’s a last evening only sort of thing?

Great vlogs guys thank you both

We had a Pacific coast cruise where I was bounced out of bed. The seas didn't "look" that bad but it was a wild ride.

Hit a storm going into long Beach one time had to run into mens bathroom and I'm not a man!!

With that zigzagging, we actually managed to cross the Arctic Circle, as opposed to the 60 degree latitude NCL deemed the Arctic Circle
