Sir plz help what is this 3yr contract? Will the advertisement will be shown on television for 3yrs or 3yr is just an estimate fixed by company to get benefit? If this 3yr contract is just an estimation, then for how long will the advertisement will be shown? Im really confused plz help. And yes if the company is giving money every year, why shouldn't we consider that they are paying money for the benefit?

One doubt
What if agreement with Salman cancelled at the end of second year and Salman returned rest of the amount what is accounting treatment for those 5cr and remaining 2.5cr
In that case you will have to cancel the deffered revenue by crediting it and record a cash receipt of 5 crores by debiting it
And just 2.5 crores will be treated as an expense of the current year.
