If this is the case, Acquire some new skills based on your Qualification and experience and then try for higher positions where package wont be an issue
In a interview I was asked a scenario
If GRN received Rs 80 and later on invoice received for Rs 100 how will you process invoice
What's entry you pass for balance 20 rs
System will allow to pass entry for 100 if GRN is 80 rs

you can resign anytime you want, but if it is short term illness talk to your manager and ask for WFH or if it is critical, you can even take medical leave. hope you get well soon.

Yes but remember deferrals also include prepaid payments as well as receipts 🧾
