Visiting Manchester? Historic city centre tour (part 1)

Today's video is the start of a series of historic Manchester City center walks visiting definitely historic buildings, statues and plaques.
I start this video at what was Mayfield train station, I then visit Piccadilly train station.
Across the road is my favorite building in Manchester which was London road fire station.
I then visit the vimto statue (one of my favorite drinks as a child)
After that I then visit Alan Turing's statue on Sackville gardens followed by visiting canal Street.
I then give some information at Whitworth street.
I then walk down Princess Street and join Charles Street to see FAC 251.
I then travel up Oxford road and visit Kimpton clock tower hotel followed by visiting the Palace theater.
I then walk along Whitworth Street south and visit the Ritz.
I then visit Hotspur press factory and then go to visit the Karl Marx monument on First Street.
(Edit, the statue is off Friedrich Engels. Sorry about the misinformation from geekymanc. He was a German philosopher, political theorist, historian, journalist, and revolutionary socialist. He was also a businessman and Karl Marx's closest friend and collaborator.He met Marx in 1844, and they jointly authored a number of works, including The Holy Family (1844), The German Ideology (written 1846), and The Communist Manifesto (1848), and worked as political organizers and activists in the Communist League and First International.)
Finally I visit the Hacienda.

Love this video! Really enjoyed the tour around Manchester. A lot of buildings I didn't know about and now I reeeeeally want some Vimto!
