    Excellent video! Your thorough example of what to do made it easy for me to replace my passenger side bulb.
    I was actually able to reach the bulb with my right hand without having to move anything out of the way, so the whole process took about 5 minutes.
    Thanks!

    Good video and very good point about not touching the bulb with your fingers. The grease off your fingers can cause a hot spot and reduce bulb life.

    Hi and thanks for the video, really helpful... Quick question; it seems that you replaced the original Osram bulbs with Amazon Dmex bulbs. Are you satisfied with them? Read that some did not last, and even damaged the ballasts...

      Try the flasher relay for the turn signal. It could be bad.

    • @learnsavediy
      @learnsavediy  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks! A new video every week😊 I would look at the bulbs to ensure nothing looks wrong with them, then check the fuses and relays for the lights (your owners manual will show you which relate to the lights), check the voltage at the lights to see if changes occur when you use the high or low beams, and lastly it could be a bad steering column module.

    Will the black bulb work for this jeep? (The one that isn’t metal?) I have the same one but I chose the cheaper alternative of the bulbs and now I don’t know if it will fit because of those metal prongs

    What an awesome video! What’s the year of your jeep? Mine is 2013 and the manual says H11 type of lamp. Does it really matter cause I don’t see “H11” on most of the lamps.

    • @learnsavediy
      @learnsavediy  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks! This is a 2011. Your manual (here is 2013) should confirm what you need for your year: cdn.dealereprocess.org/cdn/servicemanuals/jeep/2013-grandcherokee.pdf

      Have you tried slightly bending them? Don’t push hard but maybe a slight bend might help them hold.

    • @learnsavediy
      @learnsavediy  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Try switching your good passenger side bulb to the driver side. If you still have the same issue, something’s wrong with the ballast or wiring.

    How can you tell if the jeep comes with HID vs other bulbs?

    • @learnsavediy
      @learnsavediy  ปีที่แล้ว

      Refer to the owners manual. It will tell you the type of bulb your vehicle takes. Google the year and “Jeep owners manual” and the model of your car if you do not have access to it

    Scratches all over the old bulb housing because you didn't push on the connector release clips on the electrical connector. On my 2011, 5.7; I didn't need to remove the air plenum, just the fliter housing and scoop. Well done though!
