That burger looked like the dogs whatsits, I’d have it the same minus the mustard. It goes to show that good food means business longevity, those wee places are still there year upon year. That’s a good wee review you’ll give them via your segment in the local paper, Win Win. It’s a very scenic part of the country, no wonder it gets visitors from all over. I too live in a very scenic area, look up The Strangford Lough and The Ards Peninsula and Strabo Tower, I’m very close to all off them. That was a brilliant video. Taking us out for a ride to enjoy the spectacular views of the Lake District and surrounding idillic country side. Also that burger looked utterly gorgoeus and only £5.50 too including a cup of tea. Thats rather good value for such good quality food and for so much food! Also one of the best features of your road trip videos is your brilliant narration. You tell us viewers about the route you are taking and how it relates to you (your old commute to work) and stopping in the layby that you used to do (for whatever reason 😁) together with some local guide information about the landscape. Another classic road trip gareth with amazing scenery and that burger looked gorgeous I've not had food from one of those roadside snack bars for ages but as you said if it's busy it's got a good reputation I always remember getting a full breakfast on a bin lid bap when in work on Saturdays 👍👍🍔🍔

Hi Gareth great video as usual, it took me back to my childhood days , we used to stay in millom at a place called flats farm , lovely part of the country , as another chap said you make peoples day , keep up the great work mate , all the best , mike from Manchester.
What a cracking video Gaz... Whoa! and that Double Cheeseburger looked fantastic mate!... It was a decent sized Burger too... I could just demolish one of those right now... I'm Hank Marvin as I've only had a cup of Coffee so far today... I love these lay-by Burger van businesses like this mate... I'd much rather eat here than the soulless local McDonald's... I knew someone who was driving up to the Lake District recently... And they asked if i could recommend somewhere good to eat... I was going to mention a place in Milnthorpe called Sue's Cumbria Snack Bar... But as it's a few years ago since my last visit... I wasn't sure whether the pandemic had forced it's closure or not... So i checked online to make sure... And although it was still trading... It had in 2019 been given a food hygiene rating of only one... So i couldn't really recommend it... As there were no up to date hygiene ratings available online... Which is a real shame as it used to serve really lovely food and it was always busy... The other place we loved going to... Was Caspian Flame Grill in Workington... Their food is delicious... But i saw online that after the last Lockdown... It wasn't going to reopen... Whether that's true or not i have no idea mate... Maybe someone in the local area who's a foodie on here too my friend... Can enlighten me as to their current status... I used to pass that lay-by myself 28+ years ago when I worked at Haverigg I had digs at the time in Millom, I traveled home on days and weekends off, always wanted to move up that way but my then wife wouldn't, happy days, love the channel, fantastic food in The Black Cock Inn in Broughton in Furness by the way as I remember 👍

Hey my good man, there's a great food van in Kirkby Lonsdale by the bridge which a lot of bikers use. Can't remember the name of the bridge but it's right next to a beautiful river. Would be nice to see again as I used to stay in a pub/hotel called the snooty fox for weekend breaks away from the south. Great vid.
Rumour has it Millom now has internet 😁 only kidding - it’s a lovely drive that way - but a heck of a daily commute to Barrow eh! That burger looked like a belter 🍔 👍
Looked like a fab burger and you wouldn't be hungry after that lot! - no tea for me - coffee girl here - noticed those roads are similar to how the mid-Sussex country roads are - think your ones look better trimmed back - travelled a few times by taxi from Saltdean to Haywards Heath Hosp in late Jan - narrow with greenery encroaching - quite scary at times - but the views are to die for. Are you back on tonight around 8-9pm for the usual p-up!
Im watching this 3 in morning and could eat that right now . Looks very tasty. We have a local van ive yet to try. I do like a good burger thats well made. We all no the big guns but road side chefs put every thing into making it work. Hats off to them. Great content Gaz xx
couple of years ago there was one on the A41 just before the last roundabout before you hit Aylesbury, half a French stick, couple of bangers, bacon, mush, eggs, toms and a cuppa for less than £5, took half hour to eat it, no wonder we were always late to get to the job :-)

Thoroughly enjoyed that Gareth, beautiful countryside and that cheeseburger looked the business! Would be nice sometime if you have any farm shops near to visit, see what produce they have. I invested in a ninja Foodi mini, struggle with my main oven with my disability but the ninja is so much easier and quicker, food is delish from it. Look forward to more vlogs take care x

Looked like a fab burger and you wouldn't be hungry after that lot! - no tea for me - coffee girl here - noticed those roads are similar to how the mid-Sussex country roads are - think your ones look better trimmed back - travelled a few times by taxi from Saltdean to Haywards Heath Hosp in late Jan - narrow with greenery encroaching - quite scary at times - but the views are to die for. Are you back on tonight around 8-9pm for the usual p-up!

Im watching this 3 in morning and could eat that right now . Looks very tasty. We have a local van ive yet to try. I do like a good burger thats well made. We all no the big guns but road side chefs put every thing into making it work. Hats off to them. Great content Gaz xx

couple of years ago there was one on the A41 just before the last roundabout before you hit Aylesbury, half a French stick, couple of bangers, bacon, mush, eggs, toms and a cuppa for less than £5, took half hour to eat it, no wonder we were always late to get to the job :-)

Thoroughly enjoyed that Gareth, beautiful countryside and that cheeseburger looked the business! Would be nice sometime if you have any farm shops near to visit, see what produce they have. I invested in a ninja Foodi mini, struggle with my main oven with my disability but the ninja is so much easier and quicker, food is delish from it. Look forward to more vlogs take care x
