Wow your description of feeling alone and unable to celebrate because you think you can't let yourself be excited is so so so relatable! Thank you for putting this video out there. Pregnancy is just that - pregnantly waiting for this big event and being so unsure what you're aloud to say and do about it all. What I discovered throughout my pregnancies (and I've had both the extremes of what can happen good and bad) is that I let myself enjoy them however they ended up because then at least whatever happens I've enjoyed this special life moment.
I love this video. It's so raw and honest about not being able to talk about it, feeling lonely, and scared to feel happy. Please keep this up and know that we are all so excited for you.

I am scared of travelling while pregnant- you have been to Portugal, Italy and america? xxx

I second this 😂 and also don't worry about what other babies are doing by a certain age or if you feel like your baby isn't doing what they're "supposed to"..... especially in regards to sleeping through the night etc. every baby is different and normal (unless there is any underlying issue of course) and if you stress then your baby will stress. My baby boy and I both relaxed once I stopped comparing him to what other people said their baby did 😊❤️

Feeling like your period is gonna come and it doesn't come, that was the weirdest thing about being pregnant for me. It really feels like it is going to come out any minute and it doesn't! It's crazy...
My 8 year old daughter was running around the house obviously very excited when I told her that you are pregnant. We met you during your book signing in Milton Keynes around this time last year, I think.

I think you have summed up the emotions of early pregnancy very well , so glad you now past 12 weeks , so exciting 😊🎉
Also my son is about to be 11 months (!!!) and my biggest advice is so cliche: Take every single moment in. You will want to wish you could fast forward through the "hard" times, just wish for sleep, wish that they didn't need you every second of every day, what that you could just do ONE THING by and for yourself. But I swear to you, you will miss them falling asleep only on you. The first days after having him I was literally high on life. Best days of my life. Don't take any moment for granted, even the hard ones! I am so excited for you. Being a mom is the greatest experience 💚
Congratulations, Fleur! TH-camr Kendra Atkins is a great example about how to balance a youtube channel and videos that include your kids. She continues to post her regular beauty and lifestyle videos just like before kids. Then adds in some vlogs with them a few times a month. I think it's a nice balance and possibly something that might work for you and Mike!

I gave birth 7 weeks ago yesterday! it's the best feeling in the world. I wish I had these vlogs to follow when I was pregnant 😔 I kept pestering the midwife cause there was so much stuff I didn't realise was normal! I felt the same too before I found out I was pregnant, I thought I was due my period and didn't test for a whole week 😂 after trying for 5 months, I got pretty used too getting my period and getting disappointed 😣 but now I have my little boy.. parenthood is the best thing ever, their little face makes up for the sleepless nights! 😂

Oh I'm so happy for you Fleur, I've watched you for years and just love how you share your crazy life. Hubby and I were in the same boat wanting kids but life and traveling and then I got pregnant but didn't want to get my hopes up...our little prince is now 5 months old and the absolute light of our lives. There is no better feeling than seeing the perfect combination of you and your significant other.
There isn't a lot of pregnancy update videos from the very early stages of pregnancies because many women don't actually realize/find out until they are 5-6 weeks, counting from the start of their last period of course.
I'm so used to the super professional and confident Fleur but this side of you in this situation is so sweet it makes me almost tear up, you are just the cutest
Anyone else tempted to re-watch recent videos to see how it was we missed the signs of pregnancy? I was completely dumbfounded !!!

essie costa They gave some very subtle hints, for example she announce that she wasn't going to run at her event (which I thought was weird) and in a vlog she and Mike said they were preparing a "surprise" (or something around those lines). Just like you said, I was tempted so I re-watched her vlogs, lol.
I thought about one of the LA vlogs... when Mike was holding that little unicorn towel thing! Awwww!!!
I knew it! I was not surprised. When I watched her video with Coca Cola from Portugal it was full of hints. I knew it then. I even wrote in a comment that I suspect they are going to surprise us soon. With so many pregnant girlfriends I think now I can tell. I'm over the moon happy for them! ❤️

Don't feel guilty for being excited. This is a great moment and you're never gonna get it back. Feel it and allow yourself To Be fully happy!!! If something happens, ir happenned and you can deal with it as and if it goes!

the biggest piece of advice I can give mummy to mummy is enjoy these months because it will be gone before you know it. enjoy being pregnant and all the amazing things that come with it.

Finding out you're pregnant is one of the best feelings ever. The gut feeling a woman has about her baby, her symptoms etc is one thing you should always rely on! I'm 33 weeks pregnant and I'm soo excited! I wish you all the bestxx

Congratulations! I know what you mean about the excitement. I lost my first pregnancy at 9 weeks. When we decided to try again, we got pregnant right away as well. I didn't believe the tests so I ended up taking 7. My symptoms this time around were completely different. Once we got past the first trimester, I was so relieved. My complications didn't arise until 21 weeks. My tiny baby came at 23.5 weeks. He's in the NICU and only weighs a little 1.5 pounds. He's doing great though! Pregnancy will throw your world around anyway it wants to. I wish you nothing but the best. It's the best feeling in the world!

I first watched this video before my husband was my husband, and before we started trying. Today I found out I'm pregnant and I'm the only one who knows as I want to tell him in person when he gets back from offshore in 3 weeks. I can't tell you how surreal it feels to be watching this video expecting my own baby!

This was really great. I know that when it's that early there isnt too much changing and for me it felt like ages away from giving birth but just the feelings and emotions that you go through in the first weeks it's cool to remember and see you going through the same and I think it will be great for those going through the same as you to be able to watch and relate. Congratulations Fleur. Fantastic. You'll get loads of advise and I don't want to be the typical bore but given what you've said here, I would say this......allow yourself to enjoy your pregnancy. Try to put aside the worry and really embrace the process. Afterwards you will understand why. Just now it is you and your baby going through this amazing process. Relax and enjoy it.

I'm 8.5 months pregnant ( found out right after New Years) and I totally get how you feel. I've spent most of my pregnancy scared to get excited. And when we found out after New Years I felt kinda weird... Like it's been super surreal....I also kinda knew something was up. I felt like I was getting my period but it never came. I took several tests to make sure! Congrats Fleur and Mike. I also told my sister before anyone else because she lives with us! Love these videos! You are not alone, despite feeling that way. Xo

I remember going through all the emotions your feeling when I got pregnant with my daughter. When I told my Mam I was pregnant she said to me oh you don't seem very excited but I remember just feeling scared and happy and not wanting anything to happen to take away our little miracle. I couldn't let myself get excited. My daughter Ava is now 3 😃😃 x

Congratulations to the both of you. Everything your feeling is normal . I'm a mother of 3 and it's what I'm most proud of in my life. The book What to expect when you're expecting was a great help for my husband and I . What really freaked me out was my sense of smell !!!! I swear I could smell things I had never smelled in my life it was like my nose woke up and smelled the flowers for the first time . This time is precious for you and your husband .write it all down in a journal my children love to read theirs and each one was different. Have a great time being pregnant , embrace it all. A miracle is happening in you.
Congratulations again. Sounds exactly like I felt at 4 weeks. I did start to worry less after 20 weeks because all scans were OK and because then you can feel the baby moving which is reassuring. Looking forward to following your journey xxx

You look marvelously happy 😊. I just get the feeling that you and Mike will be terrific parents. From a woman who's "baby" is now 30 years old, trust me when I say to treasure every moment as they grow up so quickly. Don't miss anything like school field trips, dance recitals, swim class, etc., as time passes so quickly.

I got pregnant the first month we tried for both of my children , which was very surprising . Peeing on sticks became my new hobby just to make sure it was real 😂

Congratulations! I totally understand the feeling alone thing and bing nervous to tell anyone just in case. I got pregnant on the fourth try and sadly had a miscarriage at 9 weeks. We then tried for almost two years with no luck so turned to IVF. Thankfully, we got pregnant on our first round and I'm now 15 weeks!! Not telling anyone and having a miscarriage was very had and then doing IVF and knowing I had been implanted with an embryo - the first few weeks were really hard as we knew there was an embryo inside me but didn't know if it would stick and I was like a nervous wreck until I got the positive and then nervous until I had a scan and heard the heartbeat, and then it was passing the 9 week mark when we had our first miscarriage. Then you're nervous until the harmony test comes back...sometimes it feels like the whole thing is just a series of milestones and nervousness. I look forward to watching all your updates as we're pretty much due the same time.

My first baby just turned 1 on the 9th of July. Not going to lie. This year has been hard. So many ups and downs and emotions everywhere but even though it's been hard it has been so rewarding your baby hits so many milestones in their first year and it's so exciting and the best feeling in the world. I absolutely love being a mom and I'm sure you will too. They change your life completely but they make it so much better! I'm so excited for you and can't wait to continue watching your pregnancy updates! Lots of love ❤️

I also fell pregnant around the same time as you, again planned but much sooner than we thought so lots of what you have shared really resonated with me! Unfortunate I ended up in and out of hospital and miscarried at 7 weeks. I just wanted to say I'm so pleased you decided to vlog your early pregnancy, it really can be a rollercoaster of a time and it is so nice when you find something on the internet that is reassuring rather than terrifying!!
