Not true. There's a close in age exemption in New York that makes it perfectly legal for Maya and Josh to be together now, plus the age of consent in New York is actually 17. Also, those laws are only for sex. There is no law about people of any ages 'dating' because really, how would you possibly enforce that? Furthermore, over here in the real world, guys Josh's age date girls Maya's age all the time and nobody cares. It's only a problem if the girl's parents decide it is. Which seems unlikely, given how much Katie trusts Maya and the fact that Shawn is basically another older brother to Josh. So yes, this whole 'we have to wait' thing is totally an excuse on Josh's part. A bad one. Maya and Josh belong together, but Josh is going to have to grow a pair first.

Farkle and Josh seem like the Topanga's to Maya and Riley's corey... they just seem to work. Lucas just feels like a filler character to me, idk. Plus I just like Zay and Smackle together. they're different but in a good way; they grow from one another. I feel like Smackle and Farkle won't grow together forever; he seems to understand Riley the most. Josh just seems like such a good fit to Maya. Instead of fighting with her, he's the level-headed one, the one who guides her instead of bickering. Lucas doesn't seem to help anyone grow, he's just sort of... there? Everyone else has such strong bonds but he's just the middle guy, the one that isn't necessary and probably won't stick around. Also with his whole Riley/Maya drama triangle thing, he seems like he would be the kind to cheat. If he couldn't choose between two girls he cares a lot about, who's to say he'll change? Most fathers and brothers hope that their daughter/sister never finds a partner and remain single for her whole life due to the dangers and risks of romantic relationships. It seems nearly all fathers and brothers don't ever want their daughter/sister to have a boyfriend/husband. The overprotective father/brother thing is proof that romantic relationships are a bad thing, and that this world would be a better place without them. Most fathers and brothers seem to get upset whenever their daughter/sister dates someone, and that proves that romantic relationships are a bad thing. Being single is far safer than being in a romantic relationship. People (especially women) should avoid romantic relationships and be single.
