- In this review, I'm going to take a look at another beer from the Allagash Brewing Company (@allagashbrew), and it's their Tripel, which is a Belgian-style Tripel. This is somewhat of an American classic despite being a Belgian-style beer, IMO. Allagash does Belgian beers right, and this is one of their most popular offerings. Let's see how it is!
Commercial Description:
This golden ale carries notes of passion fruit and honey in the aroma. A suggestion of biscuit is found in the beer's varied palate. Brewed with our 2-row barley blend, hopped with Nugget and Hallertau, then fermented on our house yeast, Tripel offers up a complex, yet dry finish.

another spot on review! Since I love Tripels, this is arguably my personal favorite beer of all time, as I'm sure you've seen from my checkins 😂. Actually just had one last night!

For sure, brother. When a beer is done well within the style, I can enjoy it, but this is definitely one style I don't love. That said, this is one of the best American-brewed Tripels, so I'm here for it, haha!

Is a tripel a style that is brewed much in tge states? Over here you a lot of Belgium inspired tripels.
Definitely not a style you see a lot from American breweries, which is why this one being so impressive always gets me.

I think it's pronounced like "triple."
All based on dialec, so calling it tri-pl or treh-ell, it's the same. I prefer to try and pronounce it like they would Belgium.
