Is ds 160 form same for h1 and h4 applicants ? As we paid fees at a time in ds 160 and given details of each applicant in same ds160 form and we got separate bar codes...which one should we carry
Ds 160 form is a must and should be for every individual .....so you should carry both forms for h4 and h1

You can carry your backpack but you will need to leave it outside. You won't find any safety rooms there. It's better to not carry any other things other than documents.

Hai mam...I also got selected in H1B lottery when I will receive petition approval from USCIS
Congratulations....usually approvals will be done in July, by September you may receive i797 form.

In the appointment letter it is clearly mentioned below 14 years a kid is not required to attend..
Today I went with my wife to Chennai VAC without my kid and I completed my Kid biometric also
If you have any doubts contact the toll free number I did the same when i had a question whether kid below 14 years of age should attend or not

How long did it take to book a slot ?
It completely depends on the availability of slots...for us it took more than 2 months..... If you can see the availability for farer dates pls go ahead and book immediately, once booked you can prepone 3 times without any additional charges to the nearest dates based on availability
