Hearing the Powerful Mario melody over MKDS's rendition of the star theme is something I never knew I needed this much
You know this song is good when it's the only one where your character dances to it while driving
Wish Nintendo will bring that back eventually
They did that because of limited space for animations, they use the win animation since they didn't want to add more and could bloat the memory.

Mario Kart DS's Starman Theme is my favourite amongst them all. Hince why I loved the Wiggler Boss Fight in Missions Mode: as you needed the Star Power to go faster than Wiggler and to knock out the incoming Trucks to grab Mushrooms for a Extra Boost.
You have done a Terrific job in this Cover. Not to mention bringing back the Nostalgia I had when I use to play this game 👍

God damn, the base remix alone slapped, but then you added in the Powerful and Metal Mario bits too, which was just the icing on the cake. Amazing job!

Mario kart ds was one of my first video games ever. It was a staple all throughout my childhood. I would play it way too often. This game is just burned into me now. And it still surprisingly holds up today without rose tinted goggles.

I have a Nintendo DSi and the Mario Kart DS is great, especially if you have the super mushroom or the star, if you have a DS, what are you waiting for, try it! IT'S AMAZING and will give you Mario kart nostalgia (I don't know if Mario Kart is available for other versions of the Nintendo DS, Mario Kart is available but I use an R4)

What samples/soundfonts/vst did you use?
i used the MKDS soundfont from the original version of the song, the SGM soundfont, Drum Pro 32 VST, Synth1 VST for the lead and the bass, and the orchestra hit from bowser's inside story's battle theme (mario and luigi battles)
