The emulator is forcing the game into 1080p, rather than the DS's native resolution. Some of the sprites and assets are still pixely, but the models used aren't. You can still see the polygons for some models, like the Mario one. Suprisingly, there was a lot of detail put into Mario, despite not being able to see it with the DS resolution.
Boy do I miss this game. Everything feels so nostalgic, and I didn't actually get a DS but my older siblings had two. They're both broken now, but I remember playing this game

i am more impressed at the graphics than I am with the speedrun. Seeing my Childhood DS games in 1080p brings something out in me that I'm not sure how to explain.
DarkFetti I'm guessing no. There's a lot of detail in this game that you can't see on a ds screen. I remember small mario was a mess of pixels, and seeing it in this high a quality is something new to some of us.
