I LOVE your oh so friendly, cheerful glass craft video’s ! These are so adorable ! I want to thank you for going into detail, the products that you use, where to buy them, when to grab them at their best prices and even substitutes ! Keep them coming ! Julie Canada
It amazes me how someone woukd even think to look for ‘blank’ nightlights to work with. These woukd make great gifts. Thank you for sharing Linda…always a joy!
Thanks but I can't take the credit for thinking of it. One of the ladies posted pics of hers on the facebook page. She saw someone else's who saw someone else's. Well you know how that goes . but I did try to make ones that i hadn't seen. LOL
What a fun thing to do. I love the kitty but they all turned out beautiful. My mother would cherish the kitty so I might have to try this. I'm wondering if this is something I could make and donate to the senior living center, after all, everyone needs a little happy light in their life ❤
Yay! Thank you! Are you on our face book page because a bunch of people have been making them and if you scroll back you will see tons of ideas. Everyone is so creative.
Love the turtle 🐢 !! just all so unique. appreciate all your knowledge about the process This project seems quicker than the other ones I'm trying to tacke. ☺️. Thank you !
Hello Linda Crazy Glass Lady, I hope you are having a great day. I wanted to tell you that I love your artistry and the beautiful pieces you create on your channel. My husband and I are just getting started in Tumbling . We were wondering what you ultimately decided on the best rock Tumbler, for the Glass art you create? We are newbies and just need a bit of guidance ? Thanks for your tutorials . I watch your channel regularly. Love you window pane art. Beautiful!
Oh my gosh are you on our facebook group because a bunch of ladies where making tons of these . Decorating them in all different ways you would have to scroll back a few weeks but there are so many cute ideas.
Thanks Linda!! I bought some of those lights and I got them in…now I have inspiration!!! And thanks for the UV resin tip too…much simpler I believe than using epoxy resin on them and having to tape them all up …
I love all of these Linda. Wonderful video ❤ The you so kindly for sharing your wonderful talent and videos with us all ❤ Take great care and keep creating and smiling ❤
These are absolutely beautiful! You're videos are excellent and so full of information! Thank you for sharing your creativity! Happy Holidays to you! ❤
They are so cute!! I love the cat, of course. Lol. And the cat chatter in the background always makes me smile. Off to temu to look at brotches.... lol ❤
I just love your work and when someone on FB commented on this video I logged into youtube real quick to find it. Thank you for sharing all your tips and knowledge. BTW-that yellow/gold glass I got some at dollar tree and i also got the black at dollar tree which they don't have anymore but i live in Florida and $tree is everywhere.
Thank you! Dollar tree has the same glass as Michael's? The glass is from Michaels? Where in Florida ? Dollar tree has glass but I have never seen this glass there. Ashland decorative filler is a Michaels brand.
Linda, thank you so much for the video!! ❤❤❤ the lights they’re Ahhmazing!! I’ve got to start cutting some glass. I’m ordering the UV light, too. Thank you for all you do ❤
Dear Linda wanted to thank you for the tip about the spray adhesive you suggested from your husband used on your kids school projects works great! Also I went immediately to Michaels and got the last 3 bags of yellow glass (its a Fall item) thanks! Now a question on the broaches , and the rhinestone beads , can I pour resin over the top ? Seems like they loose there sparkle for me. Thanks again
No, you cannot the rhinestone chains that I put around my glasses are you can pour resin over but not the brooches the cheap plastic crystals in them will lose their sparkle
Hi, thank for sharing your creativity. Have you tried UV resin for any of these? I’m curious.. and plan to try, just wondering if you have and what outcome you experienced . Thank you 😊
Oops.. I’m embarrassed… I watched many other of your videos, and after my post above began watching this one.. and you are talking about uv resin… I apologize… I’ll keep watching to see if it answers my questions
Yes for these small night lights I think UV resin is the best to use. Much more control and then you do not ned to tape them or worry about the resin running off.
Yes a rock tumbler is what I use to tumble glass. I have a few videos on it. For the seaglass look I tumble with grit for a week. If I am only trying to get the sharp edges off I tumble with just water for 1-2 hours. I also have videos on the best glass to use
Thanks for making this Linda! Did you put resin on the edges of the acrylic or was that taped off too? Also with the uv finish, it doesn’t look as shiny. Or was that just my viewpoint?
So with the cat I just put the UV resin on the cat and the very bottom green glass. Im not really sure why I didn't put it on the plastic. I was so happy that it turned out this time around must have been in a hurry to finish it. LOL The other I just put on top a thin layer so I guess it never dripped down the edges.
Amazon UV LIGHT: amzn.to/452YYsd Thank you! So when on youtube look directly under the video and I try to leave a list of everything I use in the video there.
So UV resin cures in a min when you put it under UV light. It is typically used for small projects like jewelry. It needs to be semi transparent and fairly thin for the UV light to reach all areas or it will not cure. I have used UV resin to add things to large resin projects kind of the way you would use glue, but it sets instantly. Regular resin then would be used for larger projects and of course takes longer to cure. So if you are comparing price J Diction UV is about $1. 00 an oz regular J diction resin is about .50 an oz Hope that helps you to understand.
Sorry I didn't answer your second question . I like both but would use them for different reasons I mainly do large projects so I use the regular resin most. But the UV resin sure comes in handy once in a while like in this instance
The large ones for the turtle? I believe I got them at hobby lobby back on the isle with the stained glass. I show them in this video they are toward that bottom on the shelf with the other half backs.th-cam.com/video/bQbO8viH-us/w-d-xo.htmlsi=UZ5v9sRdbXAOuRL1
They are very pretty. My favorite is definitely the kitty cat. ❤

Great pieces. What's the name of the regular resin you would use on a larger piece.
Well I use many different epoxy resins but if it is on a canvas or something flat you need to use a coating resin The lastone I used UV resin
love them
Thank you!

Thanks for reminding me about that. I need to tell that to everybody.
Could you use just confetti sparkles in the resin?
You mean like glitter yes.
Beautiful, useful and clever! Good work Linda once again.❤❤❤
Thanks so much! 😊

YES! see below.
How long do you tumble your glass? And do you use a rock tumbler?

What is the UV light brand and where did you buy it?
Love your teaching method and all your work ❤
Amazon UV LIGHT: amzn.to/452YYsd Thank you! So when on youtube look directly under the video and I try to leave a list of everything I use in the video there.
Whats the diff tween reg resin and uv....?
Cure time?
What is your preferred one and why?

When you used the UV resin on the cat did you only apply to the cat and glass at bottom?
yes that is exactly what I did
Does the brooch get to hot on the night light? I want to make one but am nervous have you had any issues with this?
No they are the LED lights so it does not get hot at all. and they only come on at night when its dark in the room.amzn.to/3JOEDOD
Does the resin melt after long use of light being on?
No it does not. It’s an LED light it doesn’t get hot.
How do you get the UV resin to level out?
I think I only used UV resin on one of those but you can just spread it with you finger
@ Thank you.
Where do u find glass cut like that?❤
Which glass the blue flower or the glass on the cat?
Where do you get those glass "bubbles"?
The large ones for the turtle? I believe I got them at hobby lobby back on the isle with the stained glass. I show them in this video they are toward that bottom on the shelf with the other half backs.th-cam.com/video/bQbO8viH-us/w-d-xo.htmlsi=UZ5v9sRdbXAOuRL1
