    Uh..I wish I could fall asleep during my period. When the pain is really bad, I can't even sleep, because it's so painful..like stabbing pain. I've been on prescription pills for my cycle since the age of 15.

    My cramps are so bad that I need at least 1200 mg of ibuprofen to just lessen SOME pain. It only lasts the first of days, and I know some women have pain all throughout their periods, but for me two days is far more than enough. The ginger tea is helping a bit. You should see me: curled up, sweating from pain, moaning, holding a banana in one hand and tea in the other. It's funny. But I am in pain. I had to put the banana down to type this. THANKS FOR TIPS THAT MEDICINE CAN'T EVEN HELP WITH!

    ooooh ladies! Also look into tumeric! both as a spice and suppliment it really helps to lessen the severity of painful cramps! Take two or three capsules about 3 or 4 days before you start to menstruate, and you'll notice your cramps will be far less painful. Tumeric helps to lessen uterine muslce contractions; which we all know causes really painful cramps.However I will say be cautious not to take too much as tumeric is a blood thinner and may make you more lethargic than usual. Hope this helps*

    Just remember that if you're experiencing severe monthly pain that this is not natural. Go to your GP and ask for a referral to be assessed for female reproductive disorders and diseases. I was recently diagnosed with Endometriosis after almost 2 decades of experiencing the worst pain imagineable and not one doctor ever mentioning to me about possibly having something like this. Don't ignore it, it is not normal to experience so much pain and don't stop until you have answers.

    • @starhill6792
      @starhill6792 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Elle Falconer How did you get your diagnosis? I went to my doctor, and she wasn't even concerned that there could be something wrong even though I experience crippling cramps for two and a half weeks. She just gave me birth control, and I'm refusing that because I want a diagnosis.

    • @ellefalconer1095
      @ellefalconer1095 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Star Shine I'm sorry I saw this late. I had ultrasounds done that showed a mass, I was referred to a gynecologist and I had a diagnostic Laparscopy. For you, I would ask your GP for a referral but research endometriosis specialists in your area and ask for a referral directly to that person.

    I used to have severe cramping for 1 or 2 days in my stomach and back; in feet and hands a little cramping ; cold sweats; heavy bleeding; and vomiting. All of the strong medications doctors prescribed didn't work after a while. What helped was changing my lifestyle. I've been a vegetarian now for 10 years (stay away from caffeine) I only use natural products for pain, but I had to detox from medication for a year before my body would respond efficiently to natural remedies. I only use natural LAVENDER leaf tea (relaxes muscles and helps with nausea) and GINGER (helps with nausea). Also, BANANA is excellent because I've usually lost my appetite and it gives me energy and helps with symptoms. Now, I get either no symptoms or moderate symptoms based on stress, fatigue or my eating habits.

    I'm on mine right now and I can't explain the pain I get. It's constant terrible pain. I pass out, throw up, I can't eat, I sweat, get lightheaded. It's just the worst. I'm also always crying. Pills don't even help me with my pain anymore.

    My cramps are nowhere near as bad as they were when I was 12-14. Around 15 my cramps got way better & now a year later they're still just moderate, with occasional first day cramps that are irritating but I'm so thankful that my cramps are nowhere near as bad as they were the first two years.

    Where were these when I was a young girl and needed it. I love the book and the sock one. I agree that when you're sleeping you don't notice the pain, that's if you can sleep. I didn't know about the exercise, but I remember crying into, screaming,and biting my pillow, then I'd take off running down the stairs down the street then back inside and up the stairs to my room. I lived in Canada back then. I would even go to church with everyone, then as soon as it's time to sit, I'd run to the bus stop and take the bus back home and cry into my pillow.lol
    I was very much Cray Cray back then. Well, as soon as I started having children, no more cramps unless I lift anything heavy up to 2 days before. A woman's world is rough. I'm going to pass on that sock and book idea to my granddaughters when their time comes. God bless.

    • @michellecollins7418
      @michellecollins7418 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      exercises really do help and so does laying on your stomach. I have no idea why but I go through 11 of the 15 period symptoms google mentions and according to google, the average woman only goes through 1 symptom. Idk why I'm so special. It is beyond frustrating.

    • @AndreasinGodshands
      @AndreasinGodshands 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Michelle Collins Lol I guess I'm with you about being special with menstruation

    • @dziggnrdee
      @dziggnrdee 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Michelle Collins
      I also had a few symptoms and friends with the same thing. I think Google is not getting all the facts or maybe the women who provided the info didn't want to talk about more than one symptom, or only spoke about the one that bothered them the most. Go figure!

    • @michellecollins7418

      +DeLinda Williams Lol, idk where my comment went. It showed up twice so I deleted 1 and then they both disappeared. I agree with you on everything and I'm glad for these natural remedies because I dislike taking pain meds. sometimes it takes 4 a day to get rid of my pain.

    The rice in the sock has really saved my life! I've probably watched this video more than several times, I constantly watch it when I'm on my period. I just sit on the toilet and try to poo out my pain which works sometimes. Great vid!!

    OMG! The timing on this video is PERFECT!! I recently visited my doc for painful backaches and cramps during my period. He gave me a prescription for birth control pills; which I NEVER picked up. I always knew there are natural ways to soothe the pains- and HERE YOU ARE!! I was browsing the internet and came across the benefits of fish oil. Consuming it helps to lower prostaglandins which acts on the uterus and causes cramping. Thank you so much!!! I'll be adding these tips to the fish oil ;-)
