Gok is a very famous presenter in the UK. He used to host a great show called How to look good naked, which as amaaaaazing. A frumpy lady with zero confidence would be nominated by her friend or family and he’d surprise her, and they’d redo her whole wardrobe and style, and he’d boost her confidence so much that at the end she did a naked boudoir shoot! It was so inspiring and he rocketed to fame from it. He’s done other stuff since, including his own cooking show.

I'm a seamstress, so when he was describing the trowsers I was laughing, then when he said "I'm going to leave now, because I want them lined too" I was cracking up 😂
Gok is a magician. He can create the perfect gown for any and every bride. And...he does it so convincingly and with such grace. Wonderful, wonderful designer and human being.

I love the fact that they can customize a bride's dress to make sure she looks perfect for her wedding day and they do it in a way that shows they enjoy doing their job. Say Yes To The Dress Lancashire is so lucky to have Gok in it. He just seems like a person you could be around 24/7 and you just feel at home. I love it.

Is that how it is spelled? I was trying to search for dresses with that neckline, without success - I thought it was "bardeaux" or "bardeau". No wonder... ;-)
@@thekingsdaughter4233 yes, this spelling refer to Brigitte Bardot, a french actress famous in the 50/60, who popularised that neckline as it was kind of her signature look.
There was nothing wrong with the first bride's arms, but I understand her self-consciousness about them -- everyone has that about some part of their body -- but a Bardot sleeve never harms any dress ;-) and she ended up looking fab and just glowing in it!
I did think each piece of the last one was absolutely gorgeous (I especially loved how the trouser turned out), but I couldn't get past the Elvis jumpsuit vibes it gave me as a whole look.
I wonder about the fit of the trousers at the crotch, there seemed to be too much material? It could have been the camera angle, maybe?
@@surlygale1082 Thank you for saying something!!! I was thinking the exact same thing, like i've had fitted trousers and they have never bunched weirdly and puffy like that, i guess it was the material? I'm not sure what they used
Surly Gale they weren’t finished, the lace was also only pinned, so I hope they changed the fit afterwards as well

I really love that the dresses arent the trendy in fashion ones featured on the American version, where we see the same Pinina dress a dozen times.
But they are quirky dresses that might not be everyone's cup of tea, but it fits the bride's style and personality absolutely perfectly.

That Bardot sleeve was perfect on that first dress. I wish more of the bridal consultants were willing to work with the bride instead of forcing dresses that are "the best option for the budget" instead of making the bride's wishes #1. He's awesome.
He doesn't just sell the gowns he make them just for them theirs. Made for them only them. That's what makes him the best of this entire series.

The pricing is not bad for a custom dress, I’ve seen dresses on the hanger twice the price with minimal alterations, simple hemline to shorten (no beading to remove and replace) and possible nip in waist (no faux boning to move around-nothing just simple fabric). Unless their getting a huge discount from being on TV, very possible.

I just absolutely love Gok. He's just like a fairy godmother to the brides that enter the salon. I appreciate that he really loves what he's doing and he's very genuine with everything he's doing. I love when he pulls out the dress that he knows that will make the bride absolutely happy. I love how the brides' smile and glow with their eyes sparkling when Gok does his magic like work on them. I need more of Gok 🥺

The same with me! I hate structure in a fabric, since I am very much of a "structurous" person myself, so lace would be just much too much on me. I would wear a sheer fabric any time.

Friends thanks for all your support. I can not do much since we have LDR. He lives in Europe and I'm in Indonesia. We so excited since finally we will no longer have LDR but right now seems impossible. I'm totally stress and sad everytime I saw my pic in the wedding dress
