    TAS originally published on 2006-09-18
Totally Rad, also known as Magic John in Japan, regales the odd story of a boy who learns to use magic from a magician. Shady storyline aside, this movie displays many speedy techniques using the protagonist's magical transformations.
For a much more detailed and whimsical description of all that happens in this publication, Bag of Magic Food ( tasvideos.org/... )'s submission text is not one to be missed.

His walk animation seems to almost always be in beat with the music.

Totally Rad was a game with a famous localisation, redrawing the anime characters in a western style and filling the straightforward story with surfer slang.
Some people like the new localisation, both ironically and unironically (i am here). Others don't appriciate the huge changes it made and consider it forced and cringey.
This game also went around the 00s blogosphere a lot. One article that was shared a lot was an in-depth translation comparison. It also inspired the webcomic Kid Radd. And Kid Radd is rad.
Sadly, it seems to be one of the famously oddball/weird games that didn't make the leap when ranting about videogames made the transition to video.
Anyway get some Totally Rad into your life. read that old translation comparison. read kid radd. have fun. copacetic.

@allright715 Definitely! Jake and Allison had the biggest makeovers, while some characters like Zebadiah Pong remain completely visually unaltered from the JP version!
Look up "Totally Rad The Rad Project" (no quotes) if you want to read the translation comparison I mentioned.
Alternatively, just look up footage of Magic John (the game's JP version) to see the original visuals.
The de-anime-fication is clear as day, if you see the before and after.
