I firmly support the Amazon workers!!! They care less about the workers safety. Example would be the tornado that hit a Amazon warehouse in Missouri. Workers have more power than you give them credit for. I will not be purchasing from Amazon in support for the workers.

My husband is part of a Union and the Union president has a private jet. Ofcourse, they want Amazon employees to unionize. More money for the Union leaders. No thank you. Amazon has been a good Employer without the Union. Do not fix anything that isn't broke.
People have no clue. Their wages are low because all non-amazon warehouse jobs pay even less. For every one amazon employee that quits theres 4 more warehouse workers getting paid 3 dollars less an hour waiting for amazon to accept their application. They know that unionizing is the only way they can get paid more and gatekeep the workers who could compete for their job. The easier way would be to allow the smaller businesses to offer more so they could match amazon in pay and benefits, once small businesses do that then amazon will ante up. I dont blame amazon workers for not being able to see the forest for the trees though. Theyre probably college educated.
That is 100% correct. Amazon pays very well, has excellent benefits, and provides a better workplace environment than their direct competitors. They catch a lot of slack because they’re huge and successful, but the people I know that work there are thankful for their jobs.

That's the political side of the formal Union, or whatever organization is egging them on and funding this protest, who threw that in there. Lmfao they will fire your butt if your rate is too low, you will get written up if you are too slow and 45 seconds to check an item for defects is clearly not enough time, but if you say so since you work there you must have the facts. 15 bucks an hour is a bit too low as well cause they start you at 18.50 and every three months you get a 25 cent raise till you cap out at 22 unless you move up and be a lead then you get an 5 dollar raise and after that you get another 5 for supervisor and so on. Insurance is ok if you are a person who needs it and can’t take care of yourself, but my wife says it’s good since she works in that field. That 60 buck an hour ish is a long stretch My G for a warehouse/driver employee. I’m fortunate enough to have money already so walking out that place was easy for me. I just wanted to be a cop and felt like that would be a great place to get practice learning a lot of humans and what they do, it was an observation job for since I didn’t care about the wages. Even the GM was shocked at where I live out here and what I really do for wages. Not the best living in the world, but it’s way better than working 40 hours a week and making gas money for my 3 trucks if I or the wife don’t drive one throughout the week lol. Work there for two weeks and I bet you just say eff this place they ain’t paying enough.

If we can not wear headphones for safety issues why should a human with an earring impairment be excluded from the same treatment. It’s just not safe and Amazon creates a horrible work environment, hires some of the worst humans ever, drug transactions have been done there in the parking lot, I’ve seen a lot of cheating men & women there, weird supervisor & worker relationships going on there, people not wearing enough clothes on a job site provoking men since that’s all they talk about and just being at that place creeped me out. After working there I currently can’t trust another man to not talk about women. It’s just distasteful in conversation to me, I’m not gay… I’m married and just don’t want to hear about a woman’s appearance. It’s just not me and that place out here promotes that crap. Yes, Amazon has put a lot of uncompetitive businesses out of business, however, in their absence, millions of small businesses, sole proprietorships, and side gigs have sprung up. I also happen to know several people that work for Amazon and they are all thankful for their jobs. Yes, Amazon does expect a lot from their employees, but they also pay higher than average for that higher than average effort. In my town, there are several people that have submitted applications to Amazon and would gladly quit their current job if they were offered something at Amazon. I’m not saying they’re perfect at all, but from everything I hear it’s a good place to work.

That low pay they get here is crazy, yes they do have good programs, but as I stated LAS2 is where I worked & LAS7 is where my best friend worked and we both had the same experience here. So it could be great elsewhere, but not those two and I haven’t worked there in about 3 years. Went back to my real occupation since I used the time there to set my wedding date & get married. Vegas is different so if they want a job here… they could swing on down this way lol. Will get interviewed by a computer and start the next week. It’s just that easy here. Get into one of those warehouses and find out for yourself. Other states might be different, but Las Vegas is a whole different animal and I’ve experienced it myself. I wouldn’t be caught dead working them hours with two 15 minute breaks and a 30. Can’t be late either since the computer you are using is timing you as well. If you are late it’s a write up. Have to explain why you were one minute late. I’ve seen it happen and if you get two write ups you are done for my G! Man I was feeling sorry for a lot of them guys there cause it was always the real workers getting fired and the others getting a slap on the wrist cause their from the same neighborhood type ish or went to school with each other. Glad I left before I ruined my record cause I’ve not ever been fired or let go from a job yet or terminated my contract cause of horrible ethics. Making 86K a year as a Technician is great and I don’t even work 25 hours a week and actually on Vacation as I type… lol They wouldn’t ever be able to pay the humans there enough to live my lifestyle and they work them like slaves there. The day I quit I gave one of the little younger dudes about 200 bucks for his birthday and he was shocked. Told them I don’t need jobs since I have money already, just like to see how my money is spent nowadays and I don’t want to support a human who doesn’t support the humans that they employ. 22 Bucks an hour isn’t enough for 10 hours of labor 4 days a week for nobody. Now I’m free from taxes and learned to put away 30% a month to pay every 3 months. Amazon should pay them more since they ask for so much here in Las Vegas. The prices in the world is going up so at least he could do is give them all a few extra bucks. Not saying make them millionaires, but pay them what their worth cause UPS & FedEx and many more pay more than 23 an hour to a warehouse worker, give them 45 to 60 minutes for lunch, and not work then 10 hours a day. Amazon Prime is a joke cause you and everyone don’t get it the next day unless it was used already or inside someone’s house and sent back. Most things aren’t tested on the electronic end and you have to count on one of LAS2 people to disinfect it which they are not good at when you can only have an item on your station for 45 seconds or less! Oh yeah get there and see how LAS2 treats you, bet you will take everything I said in effect. That place is crazy and should be revamped with different supervisors. The GM of that place is pretty cool though! The leads are weird.
My son, fresh out of High School, went to an Amazon job fair and was hired. He worked hard and rose up through the ranks at a District Processing Center. He used his Amazon paychecks to put himself through college and got his BA degree. He left Amazon and is now on his second post-Amazon job, and getting ready to pursue his Masters degree. Amazon gave my son a chance for success, and he used it wisely. I have the greatest respect for Amazon and how they affected our family. No employer is going to give you anything for just standing there with your hand out. They will give you opportunities if you earn them. God bless Jeff Bezos.

Amazon is dropping the ball on deliveries. It gives you a date of delivery and then pushes the date back up to 3 days and then when it does arrive, they never knock on the door.

I work at Amazon....we didn't strike it that's probably why they gave us $3 more an hour on Friday and Saturday ...no other times

It’s just not safe and Amazon creates a horrible work environment, hires some of the worst humans ever, drug transactions have been done there in the parking lot, I’ve seen a lot of cheating men & women there, weird supervisor & worker relationships going on there, people not wearing enough clothes on a job site provoking men since that’s all they talk about and just being at that place creeped me out. After working there I currently can’t trust another man to not talk about women. It’s just distasteful in conversation to me, I’m not gay… I’m married and just don’t want to hear about a woman’s appearance. It’s just not me and that place out here promotes that crap. I will not support a company that lets these things go on in the workplace. Bring small businesses back to America 🇺🇸
I hear what you’re saying, but I respectfully disagree. Yes, Amazon has put a lot of uncompetitive businesses out of business, however, in their absence, millions of small businesses, sole proprietorships, and side gigs have sprung up. I also happen to know several people that work for Amazon and they are all thankful for their jobs. Yes, Amazon does expect a lot from their employees, but they also pay higher than average for that higher than average effort. In my town, there are several people that have submitted applications to Amazon and would gladly quit their current job if they were offered something at Amazon. I’m not saying they’re perfect at all, but from everything I hear it’s a good place to work.
@ in your town yes! In my city it’s completely different. That low pay they get here is crazy, yes they do have good programs, but as I stated LAS2 is where I worked & LAS7 is where my best friend worked and we both had the same experience here. So it could be great elsewhere, but not those two and I haven’t worked there in about 3 years. Went back to my real occupation since I used the time there to set my wedding date & get married. Vegas is different so if they want a job here… they could swing on down this way lol. Will get interviewed by a computer and start the next week. It’s just that easy here. Get into one of those warehouses and find out for yourself. Other states might be different, but Las Vegas is a whole different animal and I’ve experienced it myself. I wouldn’t be caught dead working them hours with two 15 minute breaks and a 30. Can’t be late either since the computer you are using is timing you as well. If you are late it’s a write up. Have to explain why you were one minute late. I’ve seen it happen and if you get two write ups you are done for my G! Man I was feeling sorry for a lot of them guys there cause it was always the real workers getting fired and the others getting a slap on the wrist cause their from the same neighborhood type ish or went to school with each other. Glad I left before I ruined my record cause I’ve not ever been fired or let go from a job yet or terminated my contract cause of horrible ethics. Making 86K a year as a Technician is great and I don’t even work 25 hours a week and actually on Vacation as I type… lol They wouldn’t ever be able to pay the humans there enough to live my lifestyle and they work them like slaves there. The day I quit I gave one of the little younger dudes about 200 bucks for his birthday and he was shocked. Told them I don’t need jobs since I have money already, just like to see how my money is spent nowadays and I don’t want to support a human who doesn’t support the humans that they employ. 22 Bucks an hour isn’t enough for 10 hours of labor 4 days a week for nobody. Even before taxes no human can live off those wages and save 50 bucks a week. It’s impossible cause the money I made went to my taxes and I still owed 8,736.72 last year. Now I’m free from taxes and learned to put away 30% a month to pay every 3 months. Amazon should pay them more since they ask for so much here in Las Vegas. Honestly that’s not a job for humans to stay at for the rest of their life’s, it’s honestly for High School students needing an edge on life and learning the workforce, or elderly still tryna keep their foot in the work place cause we know old people are stubborn. The good kind though, honestly Amazon should be paying at least 28 to 30 an hour to make ends meet. It’s not like don’t have the money and giving them a raise would be great for the economy. Creating jobs is one thing, but paying them the right wages is a whole different topic. So Amazon is wrong in their reply….. spending money to make warehouses to gain billions and pay middle type wages is horrible and a bad way to use a comeback. The prices in the world is going up so at least he could do is give them all a few extra bucks. Not saying make them millionaires, but pay them what their worth cause UPS & FedEx and many more pay more than 23 an hour to a warehouse worker, give them 45 to 60 minutes for lunch, and not work then 10 hours a day. Amazon Prime is a joke cause you and everyone don’t get it the next day unless it was used already or inside someone’s house and sent back. Most things aren’t tested on the electronic end and you have to count on one of LAS2 people to disinfect it which they are not good at when you can only have an item on your station for 45 seconds or less! Oh yeah get there and see how LAS2 treats you, bet you will take everything I said in effect. That place is crazy and should be revamped with different supervisors. The GM of that place is pretty cool though! The leads are weird.

My son, fresh out of High School, went to an Amazon job fair and was hired. He worked hard and rose up through the ranks at a District Processing Center. He used his Amazon paychecks to put himself through college and got his BA degree. He left Amazon and is now on his second post-Amazon job, and getting ready to pursue his Masters degree. Amazon gave my son a chance for success, and he used it wisely. I have the greatest respect for Amazon and how they affected our family. No employer is going to give you anything for just standing there with your hand out. They will give you opportunities if you earn them. God bless Jeff Bezos.
