I think the lando penalty has precedent from Latifi & Mazepin in 2021 and Raikonnen in 2017. All of whom received 10 second stop & go (or 30s as a equivalent). There's a discussion to be had about if they would have noticed if max didn't highlight it, or if lando was the only one who didn't lift. But once it was passed to the stewards, it was a slam dunk

Unsafe release during any other session, including qualifying, $5.000 fine for the team, which is what Ferrari received. Then some people complained that Norris' penalty was quite harsh, considering it was on the straight, with good visibility, etc. And I personally agree. But, as Anthony Davidson explained very well on Sky, there are things where it's not up to the stewards to decide what is the penalty and consider any mitigating circumstances, etc. They have to open the rule book and apply the penalty stated there. they did not say that. The front left tire was more susceptible to puncture because of the construction of the circuit. So if a tire will get a puncture that one is most likely to go before the others go. The shrapnell might still be the final straw that broke the camels back, or the tire in this case.
It is not certain that they did. the tires are not back at pirelli and they are the ones to do the deep investigation into the ultimate cause of the puncture.

Lewis Hamilton false start: just 5 seconds. And pitlane speeding. In such a manner he nearly made the McLaren behind him crash into him. What was it, another 5 seconds? Lewis had very mild punishment. What ruined his race was his own poor qualifying, his own poor start and the puncture didn't help.
Norris: ignored double-waved yellow flags. He said he did not see them. Which is Russell levels of bull. They were all there. Norris focused on getting the most time out of a dangerous situation. F1 is a lethal sport. Bad things do not happen because we value safety. Lando discarded that. And what did he get? The 10 second stop-and-go that has been the _minimum_ punishment for ages. Only because Brits see a Brit get fair punishment it is suddenly harsh. Norris should have been hit harder. He did get a reprimand for ignoring the safety rules at Brazil. The aborted start that Lando failed to abort. He should have gotten penalty points on his license. Of course, British passport.
    Russell? Princess snitch got karma.
Stroll got 10 seconds because of ramming. He didn't do it with intent, but accepted it. Same goes for Albon.

A cynical person might think this was a clumsy and obvious way to engineer the race so that McLaren didn't win the championship today. Max had to get a penalty for impeding George, normally 3 place drop but Lando might win so make up a new rule of 1 place drop just for today. Lando was doing too well so at the first chance give him a massive penalty to try and stop him getting any points at all. Then in an attempt to disguise what they are up to, give as many other people as possible a penalty, I expect I'll be getting one in the post. Bring out a safety car whenever possible except when it would be useful, to run the cars down the pit lane and remove the mirror lying on the track before it is destroyed and caused punctures, who could have seen that happening. What can absolute shambles. I can't decide whether it's incompetence or corruption.

Clearly not seen by Stuart Coding and the next 30 laps Lando was right behind Max , never more than 2 secs as the two drove away from the field and traded fastest laps. It was unfortunate that Lando missed the double yellows and paid the price but his driving afterwards and multiple fastest laps showed that Max was not safe when Lando was behind him. Autosport paint the race as a forgone conclusion after turn one.
