@@Isaacmantx shit yes, I find that the unit is not strong enough if you want to weld pure nickelstrips which is something I do require because of high performance builds. This is basically the problem with all portable spot welders (I’ve tested 3 or 4 different portables). If you just use nickel plated strip than its fine so I would get 0.12 or 0.15mm nickel plated strip. I have now upgraded to the sunkko 709 ad which is amazing, it’s a strong and functional machine, it also has a very good built in soldering iron. This machine is more professional which I need as I’m planing a project requiring me to make tens of thousands of spot welds. If you have any questions about the device, feel free to ask.
I bought a similar spot welder, same ratings (650A, etc.), on it's max setting it doesn't weld nearly as good as your's on 3! I wonder if it actually outputs near the 650A on max or if the manufacturer has been cheap on the battery.
From our experience, don't press the tip too hard to get a good weld. But I suppose different brands could have different output on their power settings. So far BIFRC been pretty good
I needed this. thx Edit: what i noticed is that the battery indicator always shows 4 dots. When connecting to a charger it shows the actual state of charge by blinking the next indicator led. When it is half full, i.e. after 5 days of none usage or approximate 50 to 70 welds at setting 3, the welds won't stick anymore. I need full charge in mine. Appearantly the battery does not supply enough amps when half charged? Also i saw a tip about cleaning the copper tips and sharpen them or use at an angel. But the most precious was the use of, or rather the lack of, pressure. Someone on youtube actually suggested 500 ounce?!?! It was a different brand but same dimensions spotwelder but that seems way off to me.
Hi I have same one welder but problem is I have been facing when I press the on button green light not stay on like gear green light welder keep if Then I press on button again After one weld again spot working
Hi. Thanks for the video. I got 2 questions. 1. What would happen if those 2 probes were touching each other? 2. After a number of days of inactivity, will the LiPos drain itself to a safe storage level automatically?
Hi, if the probes were to touch each other there is redundancy design so will not damage the circuit. But the current is high and may affect the battery lifespan. Regarding the battery, it will just drain off over time. Works just like your external battery pack for mobile phones.
From what I know they have an improved version with screen because some dubious factory in Shenzhen copied their design wholesale including their brand name and selling on banggood. If in doubt over authenticity, better to get new improved led screen version
I got it off taobao but you can get from banggood as well. [S$76.20 16% OFF]DIY Spot Welder 9 Gears Mini Spot Welding Machine With Quick Release Pen Nickel Plate 18650 Battery Spot Welder Professional Tools from Tools on banggood banggood.app.link/JZtJTxF9Wib
4:02 - See how a really good welding should work: 1) There should not be much heating under the base. 2) there must be high-quality welding so that it does not come off with your hands. Your welding at 4:02 is not satisfactory. Look at real good spot-welding: th-cam.com/video/B4ESX78PHhk/w-d-xo.html
Amazing video! Very helpful!
I have ordered the HD 20 or 30, the new one with the screen and settings. I will update you on arrival.
Any updates?

Thanks for the advice I just ordered me 1 👍
After press 5 sec to shutdown & green indicator is gone, i test to put 2 probe on nickel, it still weld nickel.. is it abnormal.?
is it really effective? I mean such a small battery.. Can it last for long? I am getting skeptcal
It works differently than Lipo cos its discharge rate is very consistent and can discharge to lower than nominal of 9.9V
Useful video.. Terima kasih 👍😊
sama sama bro!
I just got the 30 version with screen. Is there a standard table for weld? Eg. 3 for 0.8mm, 5 for 1mm etc. Thanks.
Hi Alvin, there's no standard table for welding. Suggest to try from lower power setting to see which works best for the different thickness

They have a version with led screen, you think this one is more power?

I also purchase this. I just don't know what else I can use it for. Please can somebody give me some other uses joining batteries. Thank u
Hi
. Can you tell me if i can use an 8mm x 0.15 nickel strip? Just ordered both. Thanks
Yes you can. Just need to adjust the power setting to get a good weld
Hi, do you have a link?
Thx
thanks but mines a dud it barely get the nikel to fuse on max
Nice review
Have you tried 0.2mm thickness?
I haven't. But if you adjust the power accordingly it should work good
where did u buy this?

Can i change firmware? Where i can find?
Omg you crickets in your house!.I can hear them at 5:35.Call the insectkiller :-p
😂
Well built, looks good. Works only on the thinnest metal, tips must be clean. Useless for any serious work

non salda niente, appena la striscia di niche in dotazione
