Just because the people on the list are important or very good people does not mean they are good generals. General or Commandership is a military position and should be measured by achievements on the battlefield. Being a good leader does not mean that you are a good general or military commander. The actual list should be end like this: 1) Tamerlane (Timur) (Turkic:Uzbek)(1336-1405) He completely conquered Persia(Complete Iran), Central Asia, North Middle East, Caucasus and North-West India. Also captured or smashed Anatolia, South Russia, Crimea, North Syria, Iraq, Lebanon and North India. His Conquest of Delhi and Battle of Ankara are very famous. He is undefeated in his +35 years millitary career. 2)Salahuddin Ayubi (Saladin)(Kurdish) (1137-1193) He destroyed Fatimi Caliphate, smashed crusaders and dominate muslim warlords. He conquered Egypt, Syria, Lebanon, Jordan and Palestine with Jerusalem. 3)Selim I (Yavuz Sultan Selim or Selim the Grim) (Turkic:Turkish) (1470-1520) He defeated two of the 5 empires (Safavids and Mamluks), which we can call the most powerful in the world during his time. He dispersed the Safavids and ended the military career of the Safavid shah Ismail, one of the best commanders of his time, who had to flee from him. He completely conquered the Mamluks. Thus, he captured Eastern Anatolia, Syria, Northern Iraq, Lebanon, Palestine, Jordan, all of Egypt and the western Arabian peninsula. He passed the caliphate to the Turks. Moreover, he did all this in just 8 years. When he died, Europeans celebrated. He was also someone who was personally completely devoted to Islam. He is the father of the Magnificent Suleiman and the reason why Suleiman is magnificent is the lands that Selim left in his only 8-year reign (he enlarged the Ottoman state 2.5 times) and the treasury he filled to the brim. He is undefeated in his long military career. 5) Baibars (Turkic:Kipchak) (1223-1277) Baibars, who ruled as a Mamluk sultan from 1260 to 1277, was renowned for his formidable military campaigns. He defeated and stopped the Mongols, the most dominant military power of all time, crushed the Crusaders in the Middle East, captured Syria and thus completely captured the Levant. During his reign, which was only two years, he was able to restore the entire Arabian Peninsula to Islam, conquer Iraq and the Levant, and defeat the Persian Empire and the Roman Empire. And before his death, he established a shura and democracy to choose the new ruler. All this in just two years. Compared to Ali bin Abi Talib, may God be pleased with him and his satisfaction. For the rule of 5 years was not able to conquer a new inch. Rather, he could not preserve the unity of the Islamic state. He inherited the ruling to his son, Al-Hassan. As for the life of the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, during the 13 years in Mecca before the migration, Ali bin Abi Talib had no role in the Islamic call. As someone who has studied history, I say this list is complete nonsense. Whoever did it doesn't even know about military history. Just because the people on the list are important or very good people does not mean they are good generals. General or Commandership is a military position and should be measured by achievements on the battlefield. Being a good leader does not mean that you are a good general or military commander. The actual list should be end like this:
1) Tamerlane (Timur) (Turkic:Uzbek)(1336-1405) He completely conquered Persia(Complete Iran), Central Asia, North Middle East, Caucasus and North-West India. Also captured or smashed Anatolia, South Russia, Crimea, North Syria, Iraq, Lebanon and North India. His Conquest of Delhi and Battle of Ankara are very famous. He is undefeated in his +35 years millitary career.
2)Salahuddin Ayubi (Saladin)(Kurdish) (1137-1193) He destroyed Fatimi Caliphate, smashed crusaders and dominate muslim warlords. He conquered Egypt, Syria, Lebanon, Jordan and Palestine with Jerusalem.
3)Selim I (Yavuz Sultan Selim or Selim the Grim) (Turkic:Turkish) (1470-1520) He defeated two of the 5 empires (Safavids and Mamluks), which we can call the most powerful in the world during his time. He dispersed the Safavids and ended the military career of the Safavid shah Ismail, one of the best commanders of his time, who had to flee from him. He completely conquered the Mamluks. Thus, he captured Eastern Anatolia, Syria, Northern Iraq, Lebanon, Palestine, Jordan, all of Egypt and the western Arabian peninsula. He passed the caliphate to the Turks. Moreover, he did all this in just 8 years. When he died, Europeans celebrated. He was also someone who was personally completely devoted to Islam. He is the father of the Magnificent Suleiman and the reason why Suleiman is magnificent is the lands that Selim left in his only 8-year reign (he enlarged the Ottoman state 2.5 times) and the treasury he filled to the brim. Moreover, he took over the Ottoman Empire not in peace and stability, but by defeating his father.
4)Khalid ibn al-Walid (Arabic) (592-642) One of the most trusted companions of the Prophet Muhammad, he played a pivotal role in the early Islamic conquests, particularly in battles like Badr and Yarmouk. He was one of the commanders who enabled Islam to conquer the Arabian Peninsula. After these, he defeated the Byzantium in Syria and the Sassanids in Iraq (both of them were the largest empires of their time) and carried the flag of Islam to the borders of Anatolia and Iran. He is undefeated in his long military career.
5) Baibars (Turkic:Kipchak) (1223-1277) Baibars, who ruled as a Mamluk sultan from 1260 to 1277, was renowned for his formidable military campaigns. Coming from slavery, he rose from the bottom to the sultanate. He defeated and stopped the Mongols, the most dominant military power of all time, crushed the Crusaders in the Middle East, captured Syria and thus completely captured the Levant. After that, he organized campaigns against the Armenian Kingdom of Cilicia and the Seljuks in Anatolia and carried his power all the way from Egypt to Anatolia. Besides his direct military campaigns, Baibars was known for strengthening the fortifications of key cities and locations in his realm, both as a defense against potential Crusader counterattacks and as a means of consolidating his control.
6) Tariq ibn Ziyad (Berber) (670-720) Tariq ibn Ziyad, an 8th-century Berber Muslim commander, is best known for his pivotal role in the Islamic conquest of the Iberian Peninsula. Serving under the Umayyad Caliphate, Tariq's most renowned military achievement was the Battle of Guadalete in 711, where he defeated the Visigothic King Roderic, paving the way for Muslim rule in Spain. Following this victory, Tariq rapidly advanced, capturing numerous cities, including the important city of Toledo. His campaigns laid the foundation for almost 800 years of Muslim rule in the Iberian Peninsula, an era known as Al-Andalus. The famous Rock of Gibraltar ("Jabal Tariq" in Arabic, meaning "Mountain of Tariq") is named in his honor, commemorating his landing point.

Compared to Ali bin Abi Talib, may God be pleased with him and his satisfaction. For the rule of 5 years was not able to conquer a new inch. Rather, he could not preserve the unity of the Islamic state. He inherited the ruling to his son, Al-Hassan.
As for the life of the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, during the 13 years in Mecca before the migration, Ali bin Abi Talib had no role in the Islamic call. By comparison, Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq was the first assistant to the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, in spreading the religion, liberating slaves, protecting the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, planning migration and accompanying the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him.
