I’d say that having both is great. One can be used for photography (iPhone) and the other purely for video (osmo). I currently own both and the osmo is just so much of a better experience to use while running and gunning. The video quality is excellent whether you’re shooting in log or not. Also another cool trick for osmo users, if you want portrait style footage and don’t want to lose your 4k quality, just turn the osmo on its side and it’ll shoot in portrait mode 4k. I do it all the time.
4:13 Not osmo mobile 3 but 6 lol. I'm sure the om3 phone gimbal can get the job done but doesn't have the magnetic grip (uses old claw mount), weaker motor (will overheat in excess of 200g with long recordings), and no dynamic zoom
I wish Apple would sell a “vloggers” version, given how likely the person upgrading is doing it for cameras and wants to film themselves-12mp front camera, and it has no action mode. Holding the iPhone backwards to record a vlog is far from ideal (hence why GoPro started offering mini screens 5 versions ago). YMMV
Hey man! 2 minutes in but just wanted to let you know you can now record in Dlog M while in 4k 120! They put that in an update awhile back. Loving the video so far though brother keep it up!
I’ve recently just been using my iPhone 15 pro for daily style videos (Apple log) and not worrying about always having my R5 with me. And I have been surprised especially with the action mode. I sometimes use Blackmagic camera app, but Apple’s narive camera app is perfect with Log for what I need.
Wouldn’t it be great if DJI could adopt their drone gimbals dual camera principle on an osmo pocket 4. Big ask size and weight wise though. Good comparison, thanks. 👏
I don't like putting all my eggs in one basket.. Plus not many accessories for iphone... Mounts. Stuff like that..i like to keep my things separate.. Osmo has so many options for mounting on cars too..id cry if i lost everything all together if it falls
The risk of everything on your phone is a good point but in terms of mounts and accessories there are just as many if not more for phones than for this niche gimbal cam. Get a small-rig cage for your phone and then suddenly just about any camera mount works.
Personally I would not mount my $1500 phone to a car or anywhere for that matter.. One bad move. Boom... With DJI care it makes it easier to replace.. The mounts for phone are expensive. So many options with the pocket now..tilta has a nice cage for the Osmo.. It's a lot harder to file a claim with phone insurance than DJI care @@evantracysounds768
Please compare them at low light. The 16 Pro lost me (again) with all the ugly lens flares and terrible Ghosting. I get the most beautiful footage with the OP3 in low light and even with a water show at night :)
I'm so sorry. You talked about that at 6.00 🙂 I shouldn't watch videos too lately ^^ Definitely one of the best and most important comparison videos between the best mobile filming devices 🙂 I really wish the IPhone would get rid of that. Have a good time 🤙
Shoot mainly video, go for pocket 3. Shoot mainly photo go for iphone. Shoot many indoor and night buy pocket 3. Iphone from 12 pro till now still have the disgusting len flare 😂😂😂

Does iPhone's green flare issue also happens to still photo?
It does sadly
This is a great comparison, both are very capable cameras!
Yeah, I don’t think there’s a wrong choice here

Great to know! Thanks man
Love the lenses you used for the talking head parts. What are those?
I use Blazar anamorphics!
For interior and exterior project shooting which is the best camera (iPhone 16 Pro Max with Gimble or Osmo Pocket3) please suggest me
iPhone 16

Same for me man. Have Apple LOG on the iPhone has made getting quality quick pickup shots way easier

That would be crazy cool
thanks for the review, I have both, I use my Pocket 3 more for vlogs and my iPhone !6 for livestreams and photos
Thanks for sharing!
Multiple lenses, Apple Log, and oh yeah - the iPhone 16 PM is pretty much waterproof. 👍🏻
Oh yeah! I should’ve mentioned that it is waterproof as well! Good note
Wait, 15 PM isn't?
No one said it isn’t
@@connormccaskill I don't know, I'm just asking if it isn't 😅
Nice A-B test. I can definitely tell that camera "B" has a higher quality sensor.
Can you shoot Apple-log internal?
Yes you can! I recommend using the Blackmagic app
Two really good devices !
Absolutely!
Totally agree. The iPhone is much more versatile for almost everything.
Yeah, as much as I love my Osmo pocket 3, the iPhone is just a more versatile option rn
I use a Go-pro 12 as my camera 🤳
Not a bad choice! But I have a video coming up about that soon
You didn’t put the cam A/cam B in the description. But I guess Cam A is iPhone?
Oops I’ll fix that now!
Fixed
I’ve been using the Blackmagic app 4K 120 log pro res lite and looks great.
why do your eyes seem to be out of focus?
This is funny lol🔥

In my opinion , the pocket is better than the iPhone 16 in all ramifications except photography .
Fair opinion!
Filming a waterfall from behind it: iPhone is WATERPROOF
It is for sure.
A big draw back is probably file size of Apple log
was that starved rock with the waterfall.
iPhone fanboy! Come on these are completely different and one is at least half the price.
Lol. “Fanboy?” Really? Apple LOG carries so hard it’s insane. Go watch my other videos and see if your opinion holds up (it won’t).

I referenced that in this video

You can't see yourself using the best cameras on the iPhone this a big downside in ly opinion
Which is the osmo. There is no substitute for a real gimbal. Ever.
Green dot no thanks osmo all the way better stability
