We're in a great age of both acoustic guitar and pickup systems. And I love the Yamaha THR30IIA amp so I can hear the guitar played at me rather than always having to sit behind where the guitar itself is projecting.
So the system sounds really excellent. However, I had a look at Thomann and the new hi-fi duet is said to cost an incredible €589! Wow, that's almost twice as expensive as the Anthem, which is almost as good. At this price, not everyone will be able or want to install it in their guitar. A bit exaggerated in my opinion.
I just took out an Anthem SL out of my 000-28, too much stuff on the guitar, I feel it choked out the small body. With the battery pack, the control system, the pickups, it’s all a lot, I do think it’d be a lot cooler when we get to that point of passive pickups besides sound holes,
I have the hi fy in two of my guitars. I am soon to place a hi fy pick up with the silo microphone in another. I have to admit that the k and k pure mini is the most convenient and least cluttered than most pick ups. They all are as only good as what you plug them into . I have two radial di boxes,lr bagg para di,and a bew grace felix acoustic guitar and microphone pre amp. I think that i can run my astin origin microphone through the felix in conjunction with my plugged in guitar and manualy e q and mix both together.
How is anyone suppose to know what this sounds like when you have the amp condenser mic in the same room as the acoustic... The amp needs to be in an isolated room. This demo is bad.
My factory installed Anthem in my Martin OM-28e sounds great. I think a big question is how does this thing play and , stay in tune, SOUND acoustically, etc. My Martin is a 10 0n all those things. My point is wat about the guitar itself for $1,500?

Biggest question here, this hifi duet vs lr baggs anthem or the k&k mini pure or trinity

Seems like an awesome system, but at ludicrous $783.99 with tax in Canada, I'll take a hard pass.
Did Baggs improve their adhesives. I have had problems with adhesives letting go and things banging around inside my guitars.
