Thi.Janakiraman refers to this song in one of his moving short stories about carnatic music. It is in the short story collection 'sivappu riksha'.In that story on hearing this song and the alapana of raga sama in nadaswaram the foreigner(in the story) goes to ecstacy and has a darsana( philosophical terminology).

Each & every cells in his body are singing . LA is one of the coolest place, and I am sure the Auditorium is definitely an Air-conditioned one , one can notice the sweat on his face . I thought it happens only in India due to the Chennai climate , but after seeing this the sweating is the expressions from his blood cells.

So nice to hear. 👌. Only in the charanam 1 it is dhaara sutulu and not dhaara satulu. Suthulu means children.. satulu means wives.

I think it is 'Dara suthulu and not Dara sathulu' as rendered by the Singer. Dara means wife and suthulu means sons. Sathulu means wives.
