My brother lives in Billings and I watch his weather. A lot of sun over the last couple of weeks, according to my weather app. Montana is beautiful. A good old friend grew up in Missoula. I’m in Illinois, lots of snow and single digits to below “0”. Always say, it’s just a couple more months of this, it will fly by!

Yes the weather up in the Flathead Valley in winter can be much different!! Very cloudy, we’ve been suffering through some fog and inversions in December.

There’s a fairly big learning curve
Great sales! My best sale this week was a vintage set of wood carving knives ($140), but it's day 3 and the buyer has yet to pay...he has good feedback so I am hoping for the best. We keep having massive rain and wind in the East but no serious cold yet. I am planning to do some yard work today and take photos of some 'profit pile' items outdoors in natural light. I hope your heat holds out.

Nice sales, I feel for you in Montana, we are in a storm ourselves in Michigan. Start of January pretty slow for me in Ruby Lane but picking up this week. November and December were wonderful.

It's too late but I had a chance to see Tina Turner, at the Staples Center, nosebleed seats the most amazing performance.... there are no bad seats there.. there used to be a local company gold star that sold cheap last minute seats or discounted seats.... lots of the smaller interesting venues, you might never consider... the Orpheum Theater in DTLA, amazing restoration....LAXVESPA-LOSANGELES

I’m end of December and start off January are promising signs that I can more than double my earnings last year. I’m super small potatoes but if I can pay for my storage, and make 500 on top of that, per month, I’ll be pleased. Only thing in the way of that is me in my slow listing and tendency to spend. I won’t be able to blame eBay.

My entire eBay store is on 25% off but sales aren’t great. I need to do a better job of sourcing items that SELL. Lesson learned.

Thank you so much for talking about how long items were listed! Also, how do you figure out what the patterns are on your silverware if they aren't marked?
Sometimes I just describe them - unmarked I’d only pick up if there was something special anyway. Sometimes the mark is really faint on the knife blade or back of bowl of spoon so look in super strong light. Run it through the replacements photo search also…sometimes there’s a match!
May I ask why you do coupons vs sales in your eBay store? I’ve o my ever run a sale and I run them short-term (3 days or so) and I seem to get many sales right after the sale begins. Just curious. Thanks!
I’ll play around with it again but in the past we haven’t had success with sales. This coupon wasn’t great but we have another store wide coupon that’s doing better and have done well with other coupons.
They’re easy to set up and basically work just like a sale.

Fortunately the PO stayed open yesterday and we got things out! Didn't end up getting to the PO due to blowing snow on Thursday but we're pretty caught up and the PO is closed Monday so that buys us an extra day! Thanks!

Glad you’re happy with your sales. I’ve only been selling for about a year but have had my best month yet! Best sale: bought a lot of designer handbags but they’ve been so slow to move, however the Ferragamo purse sold for $275… paid $8!!! Funny story, the day before it sold I opened a Grailed account (Vendoo driven) and listed it, they first suggested $325, which is about my eBay listing price. After their review they suggested $175 so I lowered the price, but only on Grailed. Next morning I woke up to an eBay offer of $275… yes please 🎉. I wonder if it’s an algorithm thing?
That’s a great sale! Love it when I’ve dropped the price on one platform but it sells on another at the original price!
