If you push F + 7 at the same time you can read of up to 5 band at the same time but surely you know I use the same AA-170 myself and its so useful I just love Rigexpert AA-170 myself
Is that an aluminum mast? I would think you would have some reaction with it. I realize the fiberglass ones are below it , but question how it affects the antenna.
Hi Chad, no it looks like aluminium but they are grey coloured fishing poles. Surely an aluminium mast will influence or probably ruin the antenna as the actual antenna wire is sticked right next to it. Maybe I should have chosen other colour fishing poles but I ran into these two for a very cheap price so I could not resist. :)
I have been playing with 49 to 1 transformers, info on youtube under EFHW. END FED HALF WAVE, 49 Times 50 about 2500 ohms comes out near the imped. of end fed half wave.
49:1 , I use the myantennas.com EFHW 8010 with 49:1, ground at transformer no radials, super antenna. I also use the hyendcompany.nl 4 band mini 100 Watt end fed, another great antenna. No radials, don;'t even ground it for portable operation and have made several contacts @5 Watts QRP.

Well, actually both. The end fed is sold as a kit. You get all the components but need to build it yourself.
