@@drazenmaricic7901 Anyone remember what happened when Fury came in heavier at 272lbs against Wilder in the rematch? He obliterated Wilder. I've said this before and I'll say it again. The thing I see in Fury is he believes he did or should have won the last fight, in the post fight with the war comment and still not on the eve of the fight. I think most people didnt see that, Usyk won pretty clearly and Tyson was given from grace to make sure the rematch had some hype to it, the ref got in the way and stopped fury getting put down. Which leads me to believe he is still underestimating usyk. Usyk is a master and will adjust to whatever Fury does he will find a way as he always does.

It’s 50/50 for me honestly. Tyson’s biggest issue is himself, it has always been his own head and how he gets inside of his own head. He doesn’t take proper competition seriously until it beats him or puts him on his arse; take the wilder fight for example where he got flattened first time around but the second time completely changed up his strategy and put it on wilder’s toes the entire fight. He didn’t take wilder seriously the first time, he absolute did the second time and he dominated it. But and it’s a big but; Usyk is an another level entirely to wilder, wilder is just raw power with little technique, Usyk has both of those things in spades worth.
There is no such thing as 'taking it seriously' like that. It's an imaginary thing people make up and doesn't actually exist in the real world of boxing. EVEN IF such a thing existed and Fury was such a shltty fighter that he somehow didn't take the fight 'seriously' he WOULD HAVE very quickly into that first round when Usyk stunned him with a very 'Seriousness Awakening' left hand and then started punching his guts in. You better believe he would take it seriously' very very quickly from then on.
Also, he was not "landing at will." He's straight up lying, and those score cards are bull from what actually happened. His dismissal of losing is so petty.
Reminds me a bit of when Connor fought Dustin was all friendly in the first press conference then after he was beat he came back all fake aggressive over confident then got humbled again.. i want Tyson to win but think usyk has it
Usyk has to stop him this time, they will give it to fury on points otherwise, then third fight will be a draw so they make lots of money and we get mugged again!
I don't want to ruin the narratives but I will anyway. Contrary to pre-fight stories, at this level, "confidence" will have nothing to do with the outcomes. This story about 'Confidence' appeals to all the fans who can only understand things from being challenged to a fight outside the school. Or some belief that "When I see red... look out" or some belief in movies where if only one can summon up the magic feelings of 'Confidence' they can do anything! But in real world boxing at this level, confidence makes zero difference to anything. Confidence isn't a magic feeling. They are both 'confident' in that they've done this many times before and are fully aware of what they bodies can do. The end of that discussion at this point. Let me ruin some more things. No fight was ever won or lost at this level because one of them was 'REALLLY Angry and Determined!!!'. Nobody ever won or lost because an opponent 'made them mad!'. Not at this level. Nobody will win or lose because they were 'intimidated' or 'scared to lose'. 100% of the outcome will come from what is already inherent training, physical fitness, their reflexes, their endurace, basically what their bodies are capable of doing. but 'Confidence' will have nothing to do with it. and for those convinced it does because you can think of fights where someone 'looked confidence/not confident' and realize that you could just as easily find another where it was a win/lose the other way. "AJ looks like he has no confidence. see.. you can tell he lost confidence" but he looked like that when he lost to Ruiz and before he defeated Ruiz. It's a story we are 'reading into' fights but will not actually have anything to do with the outcomes.
I don't think he's coming across that confident, he's not changed at all, leading up to the first fight he was saying good little men never beat good big men, that's obviously not true and he was trying to convince himself of that, leading up to the rematch Fury is trying to rely on the fact that he's always done better in rematches, that's true, but he's done better against one dimensional fighters that can't adjust, obviously Usyk doesn't fit into that bracket. Also, the scorecards should've never been that close, they wanted Fury to win. I think the only way Fury wins is leaning all over him and hunting him down, I think he has to go for broke. Just so you know, Fury was the lightest he's been for years against Usyk, he was in good shape after back to back camps.
Well Fury can't really say anything otherwise; he has no place to go except roll the dice and say he's going to utterly destroy usyk and secretly pray to god that he's able to do it. Every boxer would do this in his place. Personally i think this is false confidence... Truly confident Tyson is loud and brash and cocky. This quiet moody confidence people see in him is not his basic character... This is a nervous Tyson who is unsure of himself. That may however be a very dangerous thing because he no longer has anything to lose. I prefer to see a fighter who's nervous, twitchy and a little unsure of how it's going to go... it usually means they fight better. I do believe we will see the best version of Tyson you can get right now because he does look pissed off which is a very good sign, but is that enough? We'll find out on saturday.
