    1901 was full of breakthroughs in all fields of science. Advancements included:
    -Albert Einstein's first published paper
    -Eastman Kodak's introduction of 120 film
    -The discovery of Alzheimer's disease
    -The first trans-altantic radio signal broadcast
    -The discovery of Russell's Paradox in Set Theory
    -The discovery of different blood types
    1901 was the first year of the Nobel Prize. Winners were as follows:
    Physics - Wilhelm Röntgen for the discovery of X-Rays
    Chemistry - Jacobus Henricus van't Hoff for discovery of the van't Hoff factor and formula for Osmotic Pressure
    Medicine - Emil von Behring for discovery of the diphtheria antitoxin

    The axiom "to the victor goes the spoils' does not apply in science. The spoils [credit for discovery] goes to anyone who publishes previously unpublished findings FIRST. Marconi got the credit. But it was Tesla who made the discovery.
