Even though this is a small unit, I'm definitely a fan. They're still popular too - I've sold both of the units featured on the channel, as they are still held in high regard - especially for the money. Thanks for watching 👍
And some screws flat out refuse to come out - until you least expect it and they fall into the mech... I always try to find units that have the potential to come up well. It's a shame to get them working well but still look awful. That being said, I've had some beauties that have turned out to be an absolute horror story on the inside!
I feel as though you need a blue mat like the other repair channels, rather than ruining a towel? I should add, your videos are very entertaining despite the lack of a blue mat.
😄Thanks for watching! I actually quite like those blue mats - but I spend so much time working on large units (often with a donor machine open too) - I wouldn't get most of the stuff on it, and it would just get in the way... Maybe I'll get a blue towel 😁👍
As a fellow boombox repairer.. what kind of camera/mic/and editing software do you use? i have come along way since 2010.. but i want to use a similar style as you.. thanks!
I used to have an ultra cassette recorder i got as an xmas gift in the 70's. Built like a tank and great sound quality!

Really nice little unit. And another nice video.
Thanks as always! This one found a new home shortly after filming.
Stripped screws love to hide in the inserts. This model you're working on is quite impressively clean for its age!!

Stick with the towel of destiny!! It’s your thing! Why be like everyone else?
Thank you! I do wash it, but it head a few battle scars now - mostly degraded belt residue!
It looks like an inverted LEGO base plate. Are the holes compatible with LEGO pieces?
I think they might be! Interesting LEGO fact - the locking design has never been altered, and a brand new piece will fit with one from 40 years ago 👍
